Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6508
It is narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: “What will become of you when you will be left among the idle and lowly people?” I submitted: “O Messenger of Allah! How will this happen?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When corruption will spread in promises and trusts and people will become like this (the narrator gestured with his hand).” I submitted: “O Messenger of Allah! Then what is the command for me?” He said: “Fear Allah, adhere to righteous deeds, abstain from evil deeds, keep company with the righteous and save yourself from the common people.”

سیدنا ابن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے مجھ سے فرمایا: ”تمہارا اس وقت کیا بنے گا جب تم بیکار اور کم تر لوگوں میں رہ جاؤ گے؟ میں نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! یہ کیسے ہو گا؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جب وعدوں اور امانتوں میں بگاڑ پیدا ہو جائے اور لوگ اس طرح ہو جائیں (راوی نے تشبیک کر کے دکھائی) میں نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! اس وقت میرے لئے کیا حکم ہے؟ فرمایا: ”اللہ سے ڈرنا نیکی کے کام اختیار کرنا برائی کے کاموں سے بچنا اور خواص کے ساتھ میل جول رکھنا عوام سے اپنے آپ کو بچانا۔
Sayyeda Ibne Amro Radi Allaho Anho se marvi hai ki aik martaba Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne mujh se farmaya: Tumhara us waqt kya bane ga jab tum bekar aur kam tar logon mein reh jao ge? Main ne arz kiya Ya Rasool Allah! Ye kese ho ga? Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: Jab waadon aur amanton mein bigar paida ho jaye aur log is tarah ho jayen (Ravi ne tasbeeh kar ke dikhai) Main ne arz kiya Ya Rasool Allah! Us waqt mere liye kya hukum hai? Farmaya: Allah se darna neki ke kaam ikhtiyar karna burai ke kaamon se bachna aur khas ke sath mel jol rakhna awam se apne aap ko bachana.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" كَيْفَ أَنْتَ إِذَا بَقِيتَ فِي حُثَالَةٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ؟" قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، كَيْفَ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ:" إِذَا مَرِجَتْ عُهُودُهُمْ وَأَمَانَاتُهُمْ، وَكَانُوا هَكَذَا"، وَشَبَّكَ يُونُسُ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ، يَصِفُ ذَاكَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: مَا أَصْنَعُ عِنْدَ ذَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ:" اتَّقِ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، وَخُذْ مَا تَعْرِفُ، وَدَعْ مَا تُنْكِرُ، وَعَلَيْكَ بِخَاصَّتِكَ، وَإِيَّاكَ وَعَوَامَّهُمْ".
