Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6808
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The reward of prayer offered while sitting is half of the reward of prayer offered while standing."

سیدنا ابن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھنے کا ثواب کھڑے ہو کر نماز پڑھنے کے ثواب سے نصف ہے۔
Sayyidana Ibn Amr razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Beth kar namaz padhne ka sawab kharay ho kar namaz padhne ke sawab se nisf hai.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ شَيْخٍ يُكَنَّى أَبَا مُوسَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ أُرَاهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" صَلَاةُ الْقَاعِدِ عَلَى النِّصْفِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْقَائِمِ".
