Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7222
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel for even a day without a mahram from among her family.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: کسی ایسی عورت کے لئے جو اللہ پر اور یوم آخرت پر ایمان رکھتی ہو حلال نہیں ہے کہ اپنے اہل خانہ میں سے کسی محرم کے بغیر ایک دن کا بھی سفر کرے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: kisi aisi aurat ke liye jo Allah par aur Yaum Aakhirat par imaan rakhti ho halal nahi hai ke apne ahl khana mein se kisi mahram ke baghair ek din ka bhi safar kare.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَن ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ، تُسَافِرُ يَوْمًا، وَلَيْلَةً، إِلَّا مَعَ ذِي رَحِمٍ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا".
