Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7339
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If I had not feared hardship upon my Ummah, I would have commanded them to use the Miswak (tooth-stick) at the time of every prayer and to delay the 'Isha' prayer."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مرفوعامروی ہے کہ اگر مجھے اپنی امت پر مشقت کا اندیشہ نہ ہوتا تو میں انہیں ہر نماز کے وقت مسواک کرنے اور نماز عشاء کو تاخیر سے ادا کرنے کا حکم دیتا۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marfooan riwayat hai ki agar mujhe apni ummat par mashaqqat ka andesha na hota to main unhen har namaz ke waqt miswak karne aur namaz isha ko takheer se ada karne ka hukum deta.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي، لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِالسِّوَاكِ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ، وَتَأْخِيرِ الْعِشَاءِ".
