Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7383
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet said: "The truest poetry that any poet has spoken is [the poetry of the one who said]: 'Lo, everything but Allah is falsehood.'" He was about to become Muslim, meaning Umayya ibn Abi as-Salt.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: کسی شاعر نے جو سب سے زیادہ سچاشعر کہا ہے وہ یہ کہ یاد رکھو اللہ کے علاوہ ہر چیز باطل (فانی) ہے اور قریب تھا کہ امیہ بن ابی الصلت اسلام قبول کرلیتا۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Kisi shayar ne jo sab se zyada sach shair kaha hai wo ye k Yaad rakho Allah ke ilawa har cheez batil (fani) hai aur qareeb tha ki Umayyah bin Abi as-Salt Islam qubool karleta.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" أَصْدَقُ بَيْتٍ قَالَهُ الشَّاعِرُ: أَلَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مَا خَلَا اللَّهَ بَاطِلُ وَكَادَ ابْنُ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ يُسْلِمُ".
