Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7804
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Iqamah (call to prayer) was pronounced and people started straightening their rows. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also arrived and stood at his place while walking. A short while later, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) remembered that he had not performed Ghusl (ritual bath). So, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to the people, “Stay here,” and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) left. When he came back, we were standing in rows in the same way and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had performed Ghusl, and drops of water were dripping from his head. Then you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon you) led the people in prayer.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نماز کی اقامت ہونے لگی اور لوگ صفیں درست کرنے لگے نبی کریم ﷺ بھی تشریف لے آئے اور چلتے ہوئے اپنے مقام پر کھڑے ہوگئے تھوڑی دیر بعد نبی کریم ﷺ کو یاد آیا کہ انہوں نے تو غسل ہی نہیں کیا۔ چنانچہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے لوگوں سے فرمایا تم یہیں رکو اور نبی کریم ﷺ تشریف لے گئے جب واپس آئے تو ہم اسی طرح صفوں میں کھڑے ہوئے تھے اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے غسل فرما رکھا تھا اور سر سے پانی کے قطرات ٹپک رہے تھے پھر آپ ﷺ نے لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائی۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba namaz ki iqamat hone lagi aur log safein durust karne lage Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) bhi tashreef le aaye aur chalte huye apne maqam par khare hogaye thodi der baad Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko yaad aaya ki unhon ne to gusl hi nahi kiya chunancha Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne logon se farmaya tum yahin raho aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) tashreef le gaye jab wapas aaye to hum isi tarah saffon mein khare huye the aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne gusl farma rakha tha aur sar se pani ke qatrat tapak rahe the phir Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne logon ko namaz parhai.
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: أُقِيمَتْ الصَّلَاةُ، وَصَفَّ النَّاسُ صُفُوفَهُمْ لِلصَّلَاةِ، وَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ، فَأَقْبَلَ يَمْشِي، حَتَّى قَامَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَغْتَسِلْ، فَقَالَ لِلنَّاسِ: " مَكَانَكُمْ"، فَرَجَعَ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ، فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ صُفُوفٌ، فَقَامَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ يَنْطُفُ رَأْسَهُ، قَدْ اغْتَسَلَ" .
