Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7963
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) left his pure wives (for a month). Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and found him in a room, sitting on a mat that had left its marks on his blessed back. Seeing this, he said, "O Messenger of Allah (Caesar and) Chosroes drink water in gold and silver vessels, and you are in this state?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Those people have been given good things immediately in this worldly life." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Sometimes the month is of 29 days," (saying this) he indicated with his fingers twice, and the third time he closed his thumb.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے اپنی ازواج مطہرات کو (ایک مہینہ) کے لئے چھوڑ دیا حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اس وقت نبی کریم ﷺ ایک کمرے میں چٹائی پر تشریف فرما تھے جس کے نشانات نبی کریم ﷺ کی کمر مبارک پر پڑگئے تھے یہ دیکھ کر انہوں نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ (قیصر و) کسریٰ تو سونے چاندی کے برتنوں میں پانی پئیں اور آپ اس حال میں رہیں؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ان لوگوں کو عمدہ چیزیں فوری طور پر اسی دنیا کی زندگی میں دے دی گئی ہیں پھر نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا بعض اوقات مہینہ ٢٩ کا بھی ہوتا ہے اتنا اتنا اور تیسری مرتبہ میں انگوٹھا بند کرلیا۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allah Anhu se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apni azwaj-e-mutahharaat ko (ek mahina) ke liye chhod diya Hazrat Umar Radi Allah Anhu Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir huye us waqt Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ek kamare mein chatai par tashreef farma the jis ke nishanat Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki kamar mubarak par pad gaye the ye dekh kar unhon ne arz kiya Ya Rasulullah (qaisar-o) kisra to sone chandi ke bartan mein pani piye aur aap is hal mein rahen? Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya in logon ko umda cheezen fori tor par isi dunya ki zindagi mein de di gayi hain phir Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya baz auqat mahina 29 ka bhi hota hai itna itna aur teesri martaba mein angootha band kar liya.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ فَرَاهِيجَ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: هَجَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نِسَاءَهُ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ: شَهْرًا، فَأَتَاهُ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، وَهُوَ فِي غُرْفَةٍ عَلَى حَصِيرٍ، قَدْ أَثَّرَ الْحَصِيرُ بِظَهْرِهِ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، كِسْرَى يَشْرَبُونَ فِي الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ، وَأَنْتَ هَكَذَا! فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّهُمْ عُجِّلَتْ لَهُمْ طَيِّبَاتُهُمْ فِي حَيَاتِهِمْ الدُّنْيَا". ثُمَّ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" الشَّهْرُ تِسْعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ، هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا، وَكَسَرَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ الْإِبْهَامَ" .
