Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8007
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, after finishing a prayer in which the recitation was audible, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Did anyone among you recite with me?" A man replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "That is why I was saying, 'Why is there an argument with me in the Quran?'" After that, people refrained from reciting behind the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in prayers where the recitation was audible.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے کسی جہری نماز سے فارغ ہونے کے بعد پوچھا کہ کیا تم میں کسی نے میرے ساتھ قرأت کی ہے؟ ایک آدمی نے کہا کہ جی یا رسول اللہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا تب ہی تو میں کہوں کہ میرے ساتھ قرآن میں جھگڑا کیوں کیا جا رہا تھا؟ اس کے بعد لوگ جہری نمازوں میں نبی کریم ﷺ کے پیچھے قرأت کرنے سے رک گئے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kisi jahri namaz se farigh hone ke baad poocha keh kya tum mein kisi ne mere saath qirat ki hai? Ek aadmi ne kaha keh ji ya Rasulullah Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tab hi to main kahon keh mere saath Quran mein jhagda kyon kiya ja raha tha? Iske baad log jahri namaazon mein Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke peeche qirat karne se ruk gaye.
قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أُكَيْمَةَ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ انْصَرَفَ مِنْ صَلَاةٍ جَهَرَ فِيهَا بِالْقِرَاءَةِ، فَقَالَ:" هَلْ قَرَأَ مَعِي أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ آنِفًا؟"، قَالَ رَجُلٌ: نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: " إِنِّي أَقُولُ: مَا لِي أُنَازَعُ الْقُرْآنَ؟!" . قَالَ: فَانْتَهَى النَّاسُ عَنِ الْقِرَاءَةِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيمَا جَهَرَ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْقِرَاءَةِ فِي الصَّلَواتِ حِينَ سَمِعُوا ذَلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
