The Musnad of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)
مسنَد اَبِی هرَیرَةَ رَضِیَ اللَّه عَنه
Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8177
And the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "A man was walking, dressed in fine clothes, with an air of pride and arrogance, very pleased with himself, when suddenly Allah caused the earth to swallow him up. Now he will continue to sink into the earth until the Day of Judgment."

اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ایک آدمی بہترین لباس زیب تن کرکے ناز وتکبر کی چال چلتا ہوا جا رہا تھا اسے اپنے آپ پر بڑا عجب محسوس ہو رہا تھا کہ اچانک اللہ نے اسے زمین میں دھنسا دیا اب وہ قیامت تک زمین میں دھنستا ہی رہے گا۔
Aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ek aadmi behtarin libas zeb-e-tan karke naz-o-takabbur ki chaal chalta hua ja raha tha use apne aap par bada ajab mehsoos ho raha tha ke achanak Allah ne use zameen mein dhansa diya ab wo qayamat tak zameen mein dhansta hi rahega.
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَتَبَخْتَرُ فِي بُرْدَيْنِ وَقَدْ أَعْجَبَتْهُ نَفْسُهُ، خُسِفَتْ بِهِ الْأَرْضُ، فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا حَتَّى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ" .
