The Musnad of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)
مسنَد اَبِی هرَیرَةَ رَضِیَ اللَّه عَنه
Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8181
And the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Save yourselves from fasting continuously for many days with only one suhoor.” The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said this twice. The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), you yourself fast continuously like this." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: “You are not like me in this matter. I spend the night being fed by my Lord Himself. Therefore, burden yourselves with only that amount of worship that you have the strength to bear.”

اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ایک ہی سحری سے مسلسل کئی روزے رکھنے سے اپنے آپ کو بچاؤ یہ بات نبی کریم ﷺ نے دو مرتبہ فرمائی صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ ﷺ آپ تو اس طرح تسلسل کے ساتھ روزے رکھتے ہیں نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اس معاملے میں تم میری طرح نہیں ہو میں تو اس حال میں رات گذارتا ہوں کہ میرا رب خود ہی مجھے کھلا پلا دیتا ہے۔ اس لئے تم اپنے اوپر عمل کا اتنا بوجھ ڈالو جسے برداشت کرنے کی تم میں طاقت موجود ہو۔
Aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya aik hi sehri se musalsal kai rozay rakhne se apne aap ko bachao yeh baat Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne do martaba farmaayi Sahaba kiram raziallahu anhum ne arz kiya Ya Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aap tou is tarah tasalsul ke sath rozay rakhte hain Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya is mamle mein tum meri tarah nahi ho mein tou is haal mein raat guzarta hun ke mera Rab khud hi mujhe khila pila deta hai isliye tum apne upar amal ka itna bojh dalo jise bardasht karne ki tum mein taqat mojood ho.
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْوِصَالَ، إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْوِصَالَ"، قَالُوا: إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ! قَالَ: " إِنِّي لَسْتُ فِي ذَاكُمْ مِثْلُكُمْ، إِنِّي أَبِيتُ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي، فَاكْلَفُوا مِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا لَكُمْ بِهِ طَاقَةٌ" .
