The Musnad of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)
مسنَد اَبِی هرَیرَةَ رَضِیَ اللَّه عَنه
Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8231
And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When one of you wakes up at night and the Quran does not readily come to his tongue, and he does not know what he is saying (due to drowsiness), then he should go back to sleep.
Grade: Sahih
اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص رات کو بیدار ہو اور اس کی زبان پر قرآن نہ چڑھ رہاہو اور اسے یہ پتہ ہی نہ چل رہا ہو کہ وہ کیا کہہ رہا ہے (نیند کا اتنا اثر ہو) تو اسے دوبارہ لیٹ جانا چاہئے۔
Aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya jab tum mein se koi shakhs raat ko bedaar ho aur uski zubaan par Quran na chadh raha ho aur use ye pata hi na chal raha ho ke wo kya keh raha hai to use dobara lait jana chahiye.
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَاسْتَعْجَمَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى لِسَانِهِ فَلَمْ يَدْرِ مَا يَقُولُ، فَلْيَضْطَجِعْ" .
