The Musnad of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)
مسنَد اَبِی هرَیرَةَ رَضِیَ اللَّه عَنه
Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8329
The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, "May the mercy of Allah be upon Lot. Verily, he was seeking refuge in a strong support. If I were to be imprisoned for as long as Joseph was imprisoned, I would have responded to the invitation of the one who came to me."

نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اللہ تعالیٰ کی رحمتیں نازل ہوں حضرت لوط علیہ السلام پر وہ ایک مضبوط ستون کی پناہ ڈھونڈ رہے تھے اور اگر میں اتنا عرصہ جیل میں رہتا جتنا عرصہ حضرت یوسف علیہ السلام رہے تو میں آنے والے کی پیشکش کو قبول کرلیتا۔
Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Allah ta'ala ki rehmaten nazil hon Hazrat Lut alaihis salam par woh aik mazboot satoon ki panah dhond rahe thay aur agar main itna arsa jail main rehta jitna arsa Hazrat Yusuf alaihis salam rahe to main aane wale ki peshkash ko qubool karleta.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم: " يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ لُوطًا، لَقَدْ كَانَ يَأْوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ، وَلَوْ لَبِثْتُ فِي السِّجْنِ مَا لَبِثَ يُوسُفُ، لَأَجَبْتُ الدَّاعِيَ" .
