Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 9101
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "When the Imam is delivering the sermon on Friday and you tell your companion to be quiet, even then you have engaged in a futile act."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا امام جس وقت جمعہ کا خطبہ دے رہا اور تم اپنے ساتھی کو صرف یہ کہو کہ خاموش رہو تو تم نے لغو کام کیا۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Imam jis waqt Jumma ka khutba de raha aur tum apne sathi ko sirf ye kaho ki khamosh raho to tumne lagu kaam kiya.
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا قُلْتَ لِصَاحِبِكَ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ: أَنْصِتْ، فَقَدْ لَغَوْتَ" .
