Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 9272
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw a man supplicating at a grave and taught him to pray for forgiveness for the deceased.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک آدمی کو قبر پر جا کر اس کے لئے دعاء مغفرت کی۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek aadmi ko qabar par ja kar uske liye dua maghfirat ki.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة :" أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى عَلَى قَبْرٍ" .
