Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 9301
Narrated by Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) has forbidden sacrificing the first-born of animals in the month of Rajab and giving them the names of idols.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ماہ رجب میں قربانی کرنے اور جانور کا سب سے پہلا بچہ بتوں کے نام قربان کرنے سے منع فرمایا ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mah Rajab mein qurbani karne aur janwar ka sab se pehla baccha buton ke naam qurban karne se mana farmaya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ الْفَرَعِ وَالْعَتِيرَةِ" . قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ : وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ مَعْمَرٍ .
