Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 9646
It is narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the day Negus passed away, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) informed us of his death and went towards the Eidgah (prayer ground). The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) lined up behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led the funeral prayer for Negus and said four Takbeers (Allahu Akbar) in it.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ جس دن نجاشی فوت ہوا نبی کریم ﷺ نے نجاشی کی موت کی اطلاع ہمیں دی اور عیدگاہ کی طرف روانہ ہوئے صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی کریم ﷺ کے پیچھے صفیں باندھ لیں نبی کریم ﷺ نے نجاشی کی نماز جنازہ پڑھائی اور اس میں چار تکبیرات کہیں۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira Radi Allaho Anho Se Marvi Hai Ke Jis Din Najashi Faut Hua Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam Ne Najashi Ki Maut Ki Itla Hamen Di Aur Eidgah Ki Taraf Rawana Huye Sahaba Kiram Radi Allaho Anhum Ne Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam Ke Peeche Safein Bandh Lein Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam Ne Najashi Ki Namaz Janaza Parhai Aur Is Mein Char Takbeerat Kaheen.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ: " نَعَى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّجَاشِيَّ فِي الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ، فَخَرَجَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى، فَصَفَّ أَصْحَابُهُ خَلْفَهُ وَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا" .
