Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 9663
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day Negus passed away, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) informed us of his death and went towards the place of Eid prayer. The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) formed rows behind the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) then led their funeral prayer and said four Takbeers in it.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ جس دن نجاشی فوت ہوا نبی کریم ﷺ نے نجاشی کی موت کی اطلاع ہمیں دی اور عیدگاہ کی طرف نکلے صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی کریم ﷺ کے پیچھے صفیں باندھ لیں نبی کریم ﷺ نے ان کی نماز جنازہ پڑھائی اور اس میں چار تکبیرات کہیں۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai keh jis din Najashi foot hua Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Najashi ki maut ki ittila humen di aur Eidgah ki taraf nikle Sahaba Kiram (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke peeche safen bandh len Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unki namaz janaza parhayi aur usme char takbeerat kahen.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ: " نَعَى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّجَاشِيَّ الْيَوْمَ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ، فَخَرَجَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى فَصَفَّ أَصْحَابُهُ خَلْفَهُ , فَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا" .
