Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 9781
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) would observe a brief silence between the Takbirat-ul-Ihram (the opening Takbir of prayer) and the recitation.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ تکبیر تحریمہ کہنے کے بعد تکبیر اور قراءۃ کے درمیان کچھ دیر کے لئے سکوت فرماتے تھے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) takbeer e tahreimah kehne ke baad takbeer aur qira'at ke darmiyaan kuch der ke liye sukut farmate thay.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ :" أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، كَانَ لَهُ سَكْتَةٌ فِي الصَّلَاةِ" .
