Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 9931
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When the Adhan (call to prayer) is pronounced, Satan runs away passing wind with such force that he cannot hear the Adhan. When the Adhan is completed, he comes back. Then when the Iqamah (second call to prayer, signaling the immediate start of prayer) is pronounced, he runs away again. When the Iqamah is completed, he comes back again and interferes with the person praying, whispering to him, reminding him of such and such a thing, things that he did not even remember before, to the point that the person forgets how many Rakahs (units of prayer) he has prayed.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا جب نماز کے لئے اذان دی جاتی ہے تو شیطان زور زور سے ہوا خارج کرتے ہوئے بھاگ جاتا ہے تاکہ اذان نہ سن سکے جب اذان ختم ہوجاتی ہے تو پھر واپس آجاتا ہے پھر جب اقامت شروع ہوتی ہے تو دوبارہ بھاگ جاتا ہے اور اقامت مکمل ہونے پر پھر واپس آجاتا ہے اور انسان کے دل میں وسوسے ڈالتا ہے اور کہتا ہے کہ فلاں بات یاد کرو فلاں بات یاد کرو اور وہ باتیں یاد کراتا ہے جو اسے پہلے یاد نہ تھیں حتی کہ انسان کو یہ بھی یاد نہیں رہتا کہ اس نے کتنی رکعتی پڑھی ہیں؟۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya jab namaz ke liye azan di jati hai to shaitan zor zor se hawa kharij karte huye bhaag jata hai taake azan na sun sake jab azan khatam hojati hai to phir wapas aajata hai phir jab iqamat shuru hoti hai to dobara bhaag jata hai aur iqamat mukammal hone par phir wapas aata hai aur insan ke dil mein waswase dalta hai aur kehta hai keh falan baat yaad karo falan baat yaad karo aur wo baaten yaad karata hai jo use pehle yaad nahi thin hatta keh insan ko ye bhi yaad nahi rehta keh usne kitni rakati parhi hain?
قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ , عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلاَةِ، أَدْبَرَ الشَّيْطَانُ وَلَهُ ضُرَاطٌ حَتَّى لا يَسْمَعَ التَّأْذِينَ، فَإِذَا قُضِيَ النِّدَاءُ أَقْبَلَ، حَتَّى إِذَا ثُوِّبَ بِالصَّلاة، أَدْبَرَ الشَّيْطَانُ وَلَهُ ضُرَاطٌ حَتَّى لاَ يَسْمَعَ التَّأْذِينَ، حَتَّى إِذَا قُضِيَ التَّثْوِيبُ أَقْبَلَ، حتى يَخْطِرُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَنَفْسِهِ، يَقُولُ اذْكُرْ كَذَا، اذْكُرْ كَذَا، لِمَا لَمْ يَكُنْ يَذْكُرُ، حَتَّى يَظَلَّ الرَّجُلُ إِنْ يَدْرِي كَمْ صَلَّى" .
