Chapter on Performing Ablution Due to Wind Exiting from Either Passage
باب الوضوء من الريح يخرج من أحد السبيلين
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 569
Hamam bin Munabbih narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The prayer of a person who is in a state of impurity is not accepted until he performs ablution." A man on his deathbed asked what constitutes Hadath (ritual impurity). Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: "When wind (gas) is emitted with or without sound."

(٥٦٩) ہمام بن منبہ نے سیدنا ابوہریرہ (رض) سے سنا کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : بےوضو کی نماز قبول نہیں کی جاتی یہاں تک کہ وضو کرے۔ حضر موت کے ایک شخص نے سوال کیا کہ حدث کیا ہے تو حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) نے فرمایا : جب ریح خارج ہو آواز سے یا بلا آواز۔
Hamam bin Munabbah ne Sayyidna Abu Hurairah (RA) se suna ke Rasool Allah (SAW) ne farmaya : be wazu ki namaz qubool nahi ki jati yahan tak ke wazu kare. Hazar maut ke aik shakhs ne sawal kiya ke hadath kya hai to Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) ne farmaya : jab rih kharij ho aawaz se ya bila aawaz.
Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): The Prophet (SAW) said, "The ablution becomes obligatory (fard) because of the sound or the smell (of wind)." (This is a short narration).

(٥٧٠) سیدنا ابوہریرہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ” وضو (ریح کی) آواز سے یا بدبو سے (فرض) ہوتا ہے۔ (یہ روایت مختصر ہے) “
(570) Syedna Abu Huraira (RA) se riwayat hai keh Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya : "Wuzu (reeh ki) aawaz se ya badbu se (farz) hota hai. (Yeh riwayat mukhtasar hai)."
Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When one of you feels something in his stomach and then doubts whether something has come out of it or not, he should not leave the mosque until he hears a sound or smells an odor."

(٥٧١) سیدنا ابوہریرہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جب کوئی اپنے پیٹ میں کچھ محسوس کر ییا اس کو شبہ ہوجائے کہ اس پیٹ سے کوئی چیز نکلی ہے یا نہیں ؟ تو وہ مسجد سے نہ نکلے جب تک ک آواز سن لے یا بدبو محسوس کرے۔
(571) syedna abu hurairah (rz) se riwayat hai keh rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : jab koi apne pet mein kuch mehsoos kar liya us ko shak ho jaye keh is pet se koi cheez nikli hai ya nahin ? to woh masjid se na nikle jab tak k aawaz sun le ya badbu mehsoos kare.
