Chapter on Seeing Water During a Prayer Initiated with Tayammum

باب رؤية الماء خلال صلاة افتتحها بالتيمم

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1052

(1052) Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Wudu (ablution) is broken only by a sound or a smell." (b) It is not correct to use this hadith and the narration of Abu Sa'eed (may Allah be pleased with him) as evidence in this matter.

(١٠٥٢) سیدنا ابوہریرہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : وضوصرف آواز سے یا بدبو سے ٹوٹتا۔ (ب) اس مسئلہ میں اس حدیث اور سیدنا ابو سعید (رض) والی روایت سے استدلال درست نہیں۔

(1052) syedna abu hurairah (rz) se riwayat hai keh nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : wuzu sirf aawaz se ya badbu se tootta. (b) is masle mein is hadees aur syedna abu saeed (rz) wali riwayat se istadlaal durust nahin.

١٠٥٢ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،قَالَ:" لَا وُضُوءَ إِلَّا مِنْ صَوْتٍ أَوْ رِيحٍ "وَالِاسْتِدَلَالُ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فِي هَذِهِ الْمَسْأَلَةِ لَا يَصِحُّ وَلَا بِحَدِيثِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1053

It is narrated by Sayyidina Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Prayer ends the state of impurity, and I am not ashamed (to explain the issue) of what the Messenger of Allah was not ashamed of. Impurity is when something comes out without a sound or with a sound.”


Grade: Da'if

(١٠٥٣) سیدنا علی (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ” نماز کو حدث ختم کرتی ہے اور میں تم سے شرم محسوس نہیں کرتا (مسئلہ بیان کرنے میں) جس سے رسول اللہ نے شرم نہیں کی۔ حدث یہ ہے کہ بغیر آواز کے یا آواز کے ساتھ کوئی چیز خارج ہو۔

(1053) Syedna Ali (RA) se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: "Namaz ko hadath khatam karti hai aur mein tum se sharm mehsoos nahin karta (masla bayan karne mein) jis se Rasul Allah ne sharm nahin ki. Hadath yeh hai keh baghair aawaz ke ya aawaz ke sath koi cheez kharij ho.

١٠٥٣ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ عَبْدَانَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا حِبَّانُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانَ ضِرَارِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ،أَنَّهُ قَالَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ:إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" لَا يَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ إِلَّا الْحَدَثُ "وَلَا أَسْتَحْيِيكُمْ مِمَّا لَمْ يَسْتَحِ مِنْهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْحَدَثُ أَنْ تَفْسُوَ أَوْ تَضْرِطَ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ حِبَّانُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْعَنَزِيُّ
