Chapter on Washing Once Sufficing for Them

باب غسلها واحدة يكتفى عليها

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1157

Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that a woman asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the blood of menstruation which gets on the cloth. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Scrape it off, then rub it with water, then sprinkle water on it, and then pray in it."

(١١٥٧) سیدنا اسماء (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے ایک عورت نے حیض کے خون کے متعلق سوال کیا جو کپڑے کو لگ جاتا ہے تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس کو کھرچ، پھر پانی سے مل، پھر چھینٹے مار اور اس میں نماز پڑھ لے۔

(1157) Sayyidah Asma (RA) se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se ek aurat ne haiz ke khoon ke mutalliq sawal kiya jo kapre ko lag jata hai to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Iss ko khurach, phir pani se mal, phir chheente maar aur iss mein namaz parh le.

١١٥٧ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ عَبْدَانَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ وَهِيَ امْرَأَتُهُ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ، جَدَّتِهَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَأَلْتُهُ امْرَأَةٌ عَنْ دَمِ الْحَيْضِ يُصِيبُ الثَّوْبَ،قَالَ:" حُتِّيهِ ثُمَّ اقْرُصِيهِ بِالْمَاءِ، ثُمَّ رُشِّيهِ، ثُمَّ صَلِّي فِيهِ "

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1158

Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the prayers were fifty and the bath from major impurity (janabah) was seven times and the washing of urine from clothes was seven times. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) kept asking for a reduction until the prayers were fixed at five and the bath from major impurity (janabah) was reduced to once and the washing of urine from clothes was also reduced to once.

(١١٥٨) سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نمازیں پچاس تھیں اور جنابت کا غسل سات مرتبہ تھا اور پیشاب کو کپڑوں سے دھونا سات مرتبہ تھا، رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) برابر کمی کا سوال کرتے رہیحتی کہ نمازیں پانچ مقرر کی گئی اور جنابت کا غسل ایک مرتبہ اور پیشاب کا کپڑے سے دھونا بھی ایک مرتبہ رہ گیا۔

(1158) sydna abdullah bin umar (rz) farmate hain k namazain pichas thin aur junubat ka ghusl sat martaba tha aur peshab ko kapdon se dhona sat martaba tha, rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) barabar kami ka sawal karte rahe hatti k namazain panch muqarrar ki gai aur junubat ka ghusl ek martaba aur peshab ka kapde se dhona bhi ek martaba reh gaya.

١١٥٨ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ الدُّورِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ، ثنا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عِصْمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ،قَالَ:" كَانَتِ الصَّلَاةُ خَمْسِينَ وَالْغُسْلُ مَنَ الْجَنَابَةِ سَبْعَ مِرَارٍ وَغَسْلُ الثَّوْبِ مِنَ الْبَوْلِ سَبْعَ مِرَارٍ فَلَمْ يَزَلْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْأَلُ حَتَّى جُعِلَتِ الصَّلَاةُ خَمْسًا وَالْغُسْلُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ مَرَّةً وَغَسْلُ الثَّوْبِ مَنَ الْبَوْلِ مَرَّةً "
