(6475) Trustworthy narrators have reported to us that Mujahid used to say, “Thunder” is an angel and “lightning” are the wings of the angel that drive the clouds. Imam Shafi'i says what Mujahid has said is not similar to the apparent meaning of the Quran.

(٦٤٧٥) ہمیں ثقہ راویوں نے خبر دی ہے کہ مجاہد کہا کرتے تھے : ” رعد “ فرشتہ ہے اور ” برق “ فرشتے کے پر ہیں، جو بادلوں کو چلاتے ہیں۔ امام شافعی کہتے ہیں : جو مجاہد نے کہا ہے وہ ظاہر قرآن کے مشابہ نہیں ہے۔
(6475) humain saqah rawion ne khabar di hai keh mujahid kaha karte thy : ” rad “ farishta hai aur ” barq “ farishte ke par hain, jo badlon ko chalate hain. imam shafai kahte hain : jo mujahid ne kaha hai wo zahir quran ke mushabah nahi hai.
'Umar bin Abi Za'idah said: I heard 'Ikrimah; a man asked him about the saying (of Allah): "...And the thunder extols His praise..." (13:13) He said: "(It means) the angel who drives the clouds, just as a camel driver drives the camels."

(٦٤٧٦) عمر بن ابی زائدہ کہتے ہیں : میں نے عکرمۃ سے سنا، ایک آدمی نے ان سے اس قول کے بارے میں دریافت کیا : ” ویسبح الرعد بحمدہٖ “ رعد ١٣ تو انھوں نے کہا : فرشتہ جو بادلوں کو ہانکتا ہے ، جس طرح اونٹوں والا اونٹوں کو ہانکتا ہے۔
6476 Umar bin Abi Zaida kehte hain : mainne Akrma se suna, ek aadmi ne unse is qaul ke bare mein daryaft kiya : ” wa yusabbihu alrru'du bihamdihi “ ra'd 13 to unhon ne kaha : farishta jo badalon ko hankta hai , jis tarah oonton wala oonton ko hankta hai.
Abu Muhammad Hashimi narrates from his father, and he from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), that "Thunder" is an angel and "Lightning" is a whip of iron.

(٦٤٧٧) ابو محمد ہاشمی اپنے باپ سے اور وہ علی (رض) سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ” رعد “ فرشتہ ہے اور ” برق “ لوہے کا کوڑا ہے۔
(6477) Abu Muhammad Hashimi apne baap se aur wo Ali (RA) se bayan karte hain ke "raad" farishta hai aur "barq" lohe ka kora hai.
