Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 11227
Hanbal ibn Ishaq said: I heard my paternal uncle, Abu Abdullah Ahmad ibn Hanbal, say: The mursal narrations of Sa'id ibn Musayyab are at the level of sahih (sound). We do not consider the mursal of anyone else to be sound except his. As for the mursal of Hasan and 'Ata', they are the weakest of all, because they used to narrate from everyone. And Allah knows best.

(١١٢٢٧) حنبل بن اسحاق کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے اپنے چچا ابو عبداللہ احمد بن حنبل کو کہتے ہوئے سنا : حضرت سعید بن مسیب کی مرسل روایات صحیح کے درجے میں ہیں۔ ہمارے خیال میں ان کی مرسل سے کسی اور کی مرسل صحیح نہیں ہے اور رہی حسن اور عطاء کی مرسل تو یہ سب سے ضعیف ہیں؛ کیونکہ وہ تمام لوگوں سے لے لیتے ہیں۔ واللہ اعلم
Hanbal bin Ishaq kehte hain ki maine apne chacha Abu Abdullah Ahmad bin Hanbal ko kehte huye suna: Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib ki mursal riwayat sahih ke darje mein hain. Hamare khayal mein unki mursal se kisi aur ki mursal sahih nahin hai aur rahi Hasan aur Ata ki mursal to ye sab se zaeef hain; kyunki woh tamam logon se le lete hain. Wallahu a'lam.
١١٢٢٧ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ،ثنا حَنْبَلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ:سَمِعْتُ عَمِّي أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ يَعْنِي أَحْمَدَ بْنَ حَنْبَلٍ يَقُولُ:" مُرْسَلَاتُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ صِحَاحٌ، لَا نَرَى أَصَحَّ مِنْ مُرْسَلَاتِهِ، وَأَمَّا الْحَسَنُ وَعَطَاءٌ فَلَيْسَ هِيَ بِذَلِكَ، هِيَ أَضْعَفُ الْمُرْسَلَاتِ؛ لِأَنَّهُمَا كَانَا يَأْخُذَانِ عَنْ كُلٍّ "
