Chapter on the count of a slave's divorce and one who says divorce is by men and waiting period by women, and one who says both are by women
باب ما جاء في عدد طلاق العبد ومن قال الطلاق بالرجال والعدة بالنساء ومن قال هما جميعا بالنساء

Zayd ibn Aslam said: Qasim was asked about the waiting period ('iddah) of a slave girl, so he said: People say: two menstrual cycles, but we do not know of anything about it in the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger.

(١٥١٧٢) زید بن اسلم فرماتے ہیں کہ قاسم سے لونڈی کی عدت کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا تو اس نے کہا : لوگ کہتے ہیں : دو حیض، لیکن ہم کتاب اللہ اور سنت رسول میں اس کے بارے کچھ نہیں جانتے۔

١٥١٧٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ، نا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، نا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، نا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ،عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ قَالَ:سُئِلَ الْقَاسِمُ عَنْ عِدَّةِ الْأَمَةِ، فَقَالَ" النَّاسُ يَقُولُونَ حَيْضَتَانِ وَإِنَّا لَا نَعْلَمُ ذَلِكَ فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ وَلَا فِي سُنَّةِ نَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "
