Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 604
(604) 'Ubaydullah bin 'Abdullah bin 'Utba narrated that I went to Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: "Will you not tell me about the illness of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?" She said: "Why not! When the body of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) became heavy, you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Have the people prayed?' We said: 'No, O Messenger of Allah! They are waiting for you.' You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Keep water for me in the utensil.' We kept the water, then you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed Ghusl (ritual bath). Then you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) started to get up, but unconsciousness overcame you. Then when you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regained consciousness, you asked: 'Have the people prayed?' We said: 'No, O Messenger of Allah! They are waiting for you.' You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Keep water for me in the utensil.' We did the same. You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed Ghusl, then started to get up, but unconsciousness overcame you. Then when you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regained consciousness, you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Have the people prayed?' We said: 'No, they are waiting for you, O Messenger of Allah!' You said: 'Keep water for me in the utensil.' We kept water in the utensil. You performed Ghusl, then as you started to get up, unconsciousness overcame you. Then when you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regained consciousness, you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Have the people prayed?' We said: 'No, they are waiting for you, O Messenger of Allah!' Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "The people were dozing off in the mosque (due to sleep), they were waiting for the 'Isha prayer with the Messenger of Allah. So, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent a message to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) to lead the people in prayer." (B) The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) considered Ghusl (ritual bath) in a state of unconsciousness to be Mustahabb (recommended), even though Wudu (ablution) would have been sufficient.

(٦٠٤) عبید اللہ بن عبداللہ بن عتبہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں سیدہ عائشہ (رض) کے پاس گیا اور عرض کیا : آپ مجھے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے مرض کی حدیث بیان نہیں کریں گی ! انھوں نے فرمایا : کیوں نہیں ! رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا بدن مبارک بھاری ہوگیا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کیا لوگوں نے نماز پڑھ لی ہے ؟ ہم نے کہا : نہیں اے اللہ کے رسول ! وہ آپ کا انتظار کر رہے ہیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : برتن میں میرے لیے پانی رکھو ، ہم نے پانی رکھ دیا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے غسل کیا، پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اٹھنے لگے تو آپ پر بےہوشی طاری ہوگئی، پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو افاقہ ہوا تو آپ نے پوچھا : کیا لوگوں نے نماز پڑھ لی ہے ؟ ہم نے کہا : نہیں اے اللہ کے رسول ! وہ آپ کا انتظار کر رہے ہیں، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : برتن میں پانی رکھو ہم نے ایسے ہی کیا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے غسل کیا، پھر اٹھنے لگے تو آپ پر بےہوشی طاری ہوگئی پھر آپ کو افاقہ ہوا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کیا لوگوں نے نماز پڑھ لی ہے ؟ ہم نے کہا : نہیں وہ آپ کا انتظار کر رہے ہیں اے اللہ کے رسول ! آپ نے فرمایا : میرے لیے برتن میں پانی رکھو ہم نے برتن میں پانی رکھا۔ آپ نے غسل کیا، پھر آپ اٹھنے لگے تو آپ پر بےہوشی طاری ہوگئی پھر آپ کو افاقہ ہوا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کیا لوگوں نے نماز پڑھ لی ہے ؟ ہم نے کہا نہیں وہ آپ کا انتظار کر رہے ہیں اے اللہ کے رسول ! سیدہ عائشہ (رض) کہتی ہیں : لوگ مسجد میں (نیند کی وجہ سے) جھکے ہوئے تھے وہ رسول اللہ کے ساتھ عشا کی نماز کا انتظار کر رہے تھے۔ چنانچہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے سیدنا ابوبکر (رض) کو پیغام بھیجا کہ وہ لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائیں۔ (ب) بےہوشی میں غسل کو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مستحب سمجھا اگرچہ وضو بھی کافی ہے۔
604 Obaidullah bin Abdullah bin Utba farmate hain ki main Sayyida Ayesha (Raz) ke paas gaya aur arz kiya : Aap mujhe Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke marz ki hadees bayaan nahin karengi ! Unhon ne farmaya : kyun nahin ! Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ka badan mubarak bhari hogaya to Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : kya logon ne namaz parh li hai ? Hum ne kaha : nahin aye Allah ke Rasul ! Woh aap ka intezar kar rahe hain. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : bartan mein mere liye pani rakho, hum ne pani rakh diya to Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne ghusl kiya, phir Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) uthne lage to aap par behoshitarhi hogai, phir Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko afaqa hua to aap ne pucha : kya logon ne namaz parh li hai ? Hum ne kaha : nahin aye Allah ke Rasul ! Woh aap ka intezar kar rahe hain, Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : bartan mein pani rakho hum ne aise hi kiya. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne ghusl kiya, phir uthne lage to aap par behoshitarhi hogai phir aap ko afaqa hua to Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : kya logon ne namaz parh li hai ? Hum ne kaha : nahin woh aap ka intezar kar rahe hain aye Allah ke Rasul ! Aap ne farmaya : mere liye bartan mein pani rakho hum ne bartan mein pani rakha. Aap ne ghusl kiya, phir aap uthne lage to aap par behoshitarhi hogai phir aap ko afaqa hua to Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : kya logon ne namaz parh li hai ? Hum ne kaha nahin woh aap ka intezar kar rahe hain aye Allah ke Rasul ! Sayyida Ayesha (Raz) kahti hain : log masjid mein (neend ki wajah se) jhuke hue the woh Rasul Allah ke sath isha ki namaz ka intezar kar rahe the. Chunancha Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne Sayyidna Abubakar (Raz) ko paigham bheja ki woh logon ko namaz parhain. (b) Behoshi mein ghusl ko Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne mustahab samjha agarche wuzu bhi kafi hai.
٦٠٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو النَّضْرِ الْفَقِيهُ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، أنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، ثنا زَائِدَةُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ،قَالَ:دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا،فَقُلْتُ:أَلَا تُحَدِّثِينِي عَنْ مَرِضِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟فَقَالَتْ:بَلَى،ثَقُلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ:" أصَلَّى النَّاسُ؟ ".قُلْنَا:لَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هُمْ يَنْتَظِرُونَكَ.قَالَ:" ضَعُوا لِي مَاءً فِي الْمِخْضَبِ ". فَفَعَلْنَا، فَاغْتَسَلَ، ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ لِيَنُوءَ فَأُغْمِيَ عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ أَفَاقَ،فَقَالَ:" أَصَلَّى النَّاسُ ".فَقُلْنَا:لَا هُمْ يَنْتَظِرُونَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ:" ضَعُوا لِي مَاءً فِي الْمِخْضَبِ ". فَفَعَلْنَا، فَاغْتَسَلَ، ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ لِيَنُوءَ فَأُغْمِيَ عَلَيْهِ،ثُمَّ أَفَاقَ فَقَالَ:" أَصَلَّى النَّاسُ؟ ".فَقُلْنَا:لَا هُمْ يَنْتَظِرُونَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقَالَ:" ضَعُوا لِي مَاءً فِي الْمِخْضَبِ ". فَفَعَلْنَا، فَاغْتَسَلَ، ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ لِيَنُوءَ فَأُغْمِيَ عَلَيْهِ،ثُمَّ أَفَاقَ فَقَالَ:" أَصَلَّى النَّاسُ؟ ".فَقُلْنَا:لَا وَهُمْ يَنْتَظِرُونَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَتْ: وَالنَّاسُ عُكُوفٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَنْتَظِرُونَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِصَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ.قَالَتْ:فَأَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ بِالنَّاسِ. وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ. لَفْظُهُمَا سَوَاءٌ، وَبَاقِي الْحَدِيثِ فِي كِتَابِ الصَّلَاةِ. رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ، وَمُسْلِمٌ ⦗١٩٨⦘ جَمِيعًا فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يُونُسَ، وَالْغُسْلُ بِالْإِغْمَاءِ شَيْءٌ اسْتَحَبَّهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَالْوضُوءُ يَكْفِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ تَعَالَى
