Chapter on Prohibition of Using Hair from Dead Animals
باب المنع من الانتفاع بشعر الميتة
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 90
(90) Hadrat Dawood Siraj asked Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) about the hides of cheetahs and monkeys, that if they are tanned with salt. He said: Tanning them is purifying them. (b) The Shaikh says: It is narrated from Hadrat Hasan concerning the wool of a dead animal, that it should be washed. (c) Hadrat Ata disliked it. (d) It is narrated from Ibn Sirin, Hakam, and Hammad that they considered the use of pig's hair to be haram (forbidden).

(٩٠) حضرت داؤد سراج نے حسن (رح) سے چیتوں اور بندروں کی کھال کے متعلق پوچھا کہ اگر انھیں نمک سے دباغت دی جائے تو انھوں نے فرمایا : ان کو دباغت دینا ان کو پاک کرنا ہے۔ (ب) شیخ فرماتے ہیں : حضرت حسن سے مردار کی اون کے متعلق منقول ہے کہ اس کو دھو لیا جائے۔ (ج) حضرت عطاء اس کو ناپسند کرتے تھے۔ (د) ابن سیرین، حکم اور حماد ; سے منقول ہے کہ وہ خنزیر کے بالوں کے استعمال کو حرام سمجھتے تھے۔
(90) Hazrat Daud Siraj ne Hassan (rah) se cheetahon aur bandaron ki khaal ke mutalliq poocha keh agar unhen namak se dibaghat di jaye to unhon ne farmaya : In ko dibaghat dena in ko pak karna hai. (b) Sheikh farmate hain : Hazrat Hassan se murdar ki oon ke mutalliq manqool hai keh us ko dho liya jaye. (c) Hazrat Ata is ko napasand karte thay. (d) Ibn Sireen, Hukam aur Hammad ; se manqool hai keh woh khatir ke baalon ke istamal ko haram samajhte thay.
٩٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفَقِيهُ، أنبأ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، أنبأ مُسْلِمٌ، ثنا هِشَامٌ،ثنا قَتَادَةُ قَالَ:سَأَلَ دَاوُدُ السَّرَّاجُ الْحَسَنَ، عَنْ جُلُودِ النُّمُورِ وَالسَّمُورِ تُدْبَغُ بِالْمِلْحِ؟فَقَالَ:" دِبَاغُهَا طَهُورُهَا ".قَالَ الشَّيْخُ:وَقَدْ رَوَى عَمْرُو بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ،عَنِ الْحَسَنِ فِي صُوفِ الْمَيْتَةِ:اغْسِلْهُ. وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ أَنَّهُ كَرِهَ ذَلِكَ، وَرُوِيَ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، وَالْحَكَمِ وَحَمَّادٍ أَنَّهُمْ كَرِهُوا اسْتِعْمَالَ شَعْرِ الْخِنْزِيرِ
