Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that he heard Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) saying, "We (Muslims) are the last (to come) but (will be) the foremost on the Day of Resurrection though the former nations were given the Holy Scriptures before us. And this was their day (Friday) the celebration of which was made compulsory for them, but they differed about it. So, Allah gave us the guidance for it (Friday) and all the other people are behind us in this respect. The Jews' (holy day is) tomorrow (i.e. Saturday) and the Christians' (is) the day after tomorrow (i.e. Sunday)."
حضرت ابوہریرہ ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ’’ہم بعد میں آئے ہیں لیکن قیامت کے دن سب سے آگے ہوں گے۔ صرف اتنی بات ہے کہ پہلے لوگوں کو ہم سے قبل کتاب دی گئی، پھر یہی جمعہ کا دن ان کے لیے بھی مقرر تھا مگر وہ اس کے متعلق اختلافات کا شکار ہو گئے لیکن ہمیں اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس کی ہدایت کر دی، اس بنا پر سب لوگ ہمارے پیچھے ہو گئے۔ یہود کل (ہفتہ) کے دن اور عیسائی پرسوں (اتوار) کے دن (عبادت کریں گے)۔‘‘
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radiyallahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko yeh farmate hue suna: ''Hum baad mein aaye hain lekin qayamat ke din sab se aage honge. Sirf itni baat hai ke pehle logon ko hum se qabal kitab di gayi, phir yahi Jummah ka din un ke liye bhi muqarrar tha magar wo is ke mutallaq ikhtilafat ka shikar ho gaye lekin humein Allah Ta'ala ne is ki hidayat kar di, is bana par sab log hamare peeche ho gaye. Yahood kal (Hafta) ke din aur Isayi parson (Itwar) ke din (ibadat karein ge).' '
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ هُرْمُزَ الْأَعْرَجَ مَوْلَى رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُسَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : نَحْنُ الْآخِرُونَ السَّابِقُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، بَيْدَ أَنَّهُمْ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا ثُمَّ هَذَا يَوْمُهُمُ الَّذِي فُرِضَ عَلَيْهِمْ ، فَاخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ ، فَهَدَانَا اللَّهُ فَالنَّاسُ لَنَا فِيهِ تَبَعٌ الْيَهُودُ غَدًا وَالنَّصَارَى بَعْدَ غَدٍ .
