Yahya Al-Mazini (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported that a person asked `Abdullah bin Zaid (رضي الله تعالى عنه), who was the grandfather of Amr bin Yahya (رضي الله تعالى عنه), "Can you show me how Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) used to perform ablution?" Abdullah bin Zaid (رضي الله تعالى عنه) replied in the affirmative and asked for water. He poured it on his hands and washed them twice, then he rinsed his mouth thrice and washed his nose with water thrice by putting water in it and blowing it out. He washed his face thrice and after that he washed his forearms up to the elbows twice and then passed his wet hands over his head from its front to its back and vice versa (beginning from the front and taking them to the back of his head up to the nape of the neck and then brought them to the front again from where he had started) and washed his feet (up to the ankles).
یحییٰ مازنی سے روایت ہے، ایک شخص نے حضرت عبداللہ بن زید ؓ سے پوچھا، اور وہ عمرو بن یحییٰ کے دادا ہیں: کیا آپ مجھے دکھا سکتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کس طرح وضو کیا کرتے تھے؟ عبداللہ بن زید ؓ نے کہا: ہاں۔ چنانچہ انھوں نے پانی منگوایا اور اپنے ہاتھوں پر ڈالا اور ان کو دو مرتبہ دھویا۔ پھر تین مرتبہ کلی کے لیے منہ میں اور ناک میں پانی ڈالا۔ پھر تین بار اپنا چہرہ دھویا۔ بعد ازاں اپنے ہاتھوں کو کہنیوں تک دو، دو مرتبہ دھویا۔ پھر اپنے سر کا دونوں ہاتھوں سے مسح کیا، ہاتھوں کو آگے سے لے گئے اور پیچھے سے لائے۔ مسح سر کے اگلے حصے سے شروع کیا اور اس کے پچھلے حصے تک لے گئے۔ پھر جہاں سے شروع کیا تھا وہاں تک ہاتھوں کو لائے۔ پھر دونوں پاؤں دھوئے۔
Yahya Mazni se riwayat hai, ek shakhs ne Hazrat Abdullah bin Zaid (Radi Allahu Anhu) se poocha, aur woh Amr bin Yahya ke dada hain: Kya aap mujhe dikha sakte hain ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) kis tarah wudu kiya karte the? Abdullah bin Zaid (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne kaha: Haan. Chunanche unhon ne paani mangwaya aur apne haathon par dala aur unko do martaba dhoya. Phir teen martaba kulli ke liye munh mein aur naak mein paani dala. Phir teen baar apna chehra dhoya. Baad azan apne haathon ko kohniyon tak do, do martaba dhoya. Phir apne sar ka donon haathon se masah kiya, haathon ko aage se le gaye aur peeche se laaye. Masah sar ke agle hisse se shuru kiya aur اس ke pichhle hisse tak le gaye. Phir jahan se shuru kiya tha wahan tak haathon ko laaye. Phir donon paon dhoye.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَهُوَ جَدُّ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى : أَتَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ تُرِيَنِي كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ ؟ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ : نَعَمْ ، فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ ، فَأَفْرَغَ عَلَى يَدَهُ فَغَسَلَ مَرَّتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ مَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْثَرَ ثَلَاثًا ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِيَدَيْهِ فَأَقْبَلَ بِهِمَا وَأَدْبَرَ بَدَأَ بِمُقَدَّمِ رَأْسِهِ حَتَّى ذَهَبَ بِهِمَا إِلَى قَفَاهُ ثُمَّ رَدَّهُمَا إِلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي بَدَأَ مِنْهُ ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ .
