باب مَا جَاءَ فِي الْغَرْسِ

Sahl bin Sa`d (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that they used to be happy on Friday as an old lady used to cut some roots of the Silq, which we used to plant on the banks of our small water streams, and cook them in a pot, adding some grains of barley. (Ya'qub, the sub-narrator said, ‘I think the narrator mentioned that the food did not contain fat or melted fat (taken from meat).’ When we offered the Friday prayer we would go to her and she would serve us with the dish. So, we used to be happy on Fridays because of that. We used not to take our meals or the midday nap except after the Friday prayer.

حضرت سہل بن سعد  ؓ سے روایت ہے انھوں نے کہا: ہمیں جمعے کے دن بہت خوشی ہوا کر تی تھی کیونکہ ہماری ایک بڑھیا تھی جوہمارے لیے چقندر کی جڑیں لیتی جنھیں ہم کھیتوں میں نالیوں کے کنارے بودیا کرتے تھے۔ وہ ایک ہنڈیا میں ڈال کر ان کو پکاتی، اوپر سے جو کے کچھ دانے اس میں ڈال دیتی۔ اس میں چربی یاچکنائی نہیں ہوتی تھی۔ ہم جب نماز جمعہ پڑھ کر اس کے پاس جاتے تو وہ ہمارے لیے یہ پکوان رکھ دیتی۔ اس کھانے کے باعث ہمیں جمعے کے دن بہت خوشی ہوا کرتی تھی۔ ہم جمعہ کی نماز کے بعد ہی کھانا کھاتے اور قیلولہ کرتے تھے۔

Hazrat Sahl bin Sa'd (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai unhon ne kaha: Humein jumme ke din bahut khushi hua karti thi kyunke hamari ek budhiya thi jo hamare liye chuqandar ki jadein leti jinhein hum kheton mein naaliyon ke kinare bo diya karte the. Wo ek handiya mein daal kar in ko pakati, oopar se jau ke kuch dane is mein daal deti. Is mein charbi ya chaknayi nahi hoti thi. Hum jab namaz-e-jummah padh kar is ke paas jate to wo hamare liye ye pakwan rakh deti. Is khane ke baith humein jumme ke din bahut khushi hua karti thi. Hum jummah ki namaz ke baad hi khana khate aur qayloola karte the.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : إِنَّا كُنَّا نَفْرَحُ بِيَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ ، كَانَتْ لَنَا عَجُوزٌ تَأْخُذُ مِنْ أُصُولِ سِلْقٍ لَنَا كُنَّا نَغْرِسُهُ فِي أَرْبِعَائِنَا ، فَتَجْعَلُهُ فِي قِدْرٍ لَهَا ، فَتَجْعَلُ فِيهِ حَبَّاتٍ مِنْ شَعِيرٍ ، لَا أَعْلَمُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : لَيْسَ فِيهِ شَحْمٌ وَلَا وَدَكٌ ، فَإِذَا صَلَّيْنَا الْجُمُعَةَ زُرْنَاهَا فَقَرَّبَتْهُ إِلَيْنَا ، فَكُنَّا نَفْرَحُ بِيَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ ، وَمَا كُنَّا نَتَغَدَّى وَلَا نَقِيلُ إِلَّا بَعْدَ الْجُمُعَةِ .

Narrated Abu Huraira: The people say that Abu Huraira narrates too many narrations. In fact Allah knows whether I say the truth or not. They also ask, Why do the emigrants and the Ansar not narrate as he does? In fact, my emigrant brethren were busy trading in the markets, and my Ansar brethren were busy with their properties. I was a poor man keeping the company of Allah's Apostle and was satisfied with what filled my stomach. So, I used to be present while they (i.e. the emigrants and the Ansar) were absent, and I used to remember while they forgot (the Hadith). One day the Prophet said, Whoever spreads his sheet till I finish this statement of mine and then gathers it on his chest, will never forget anything of my statement. So, I spread my covering sheet which was the only garment I had, till the Prophet finished his statement and then I gathered it over my chest. By Him Who had sent him (i.e. Allah's Apostle) with the truth, since then I did not forget even a single word of that statement of his, until this day of mine. By Allah, but for two verses in Allah's Book, I would never have related any narration (from the Prophet). (These two verses are): Verily! Those who conceal the clear signs and the guidance which we have sent down .....(up to) the Merciful.' (2.159-160)

حضرت ابوہریرہ  ؓ سے روایت ہے انھوں نے فرمایا: لوگ ابوہریرہ  ؓ  کے متعلق بکثرت احادیث بیان کرنے کا ا عتراض کرتے ہیں۔ آخر اس نے بھی اللہ تعالیٰ سے ملنا ہے۔ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ دوسرے مہاجرین اور انصار اس (ابوہریرہ  ؓ) کی طرح احادیث کیوں نہیں بیان کرتے؟بات دراصل یہ ہے کہ میرے مہاجر بھائی بازاروں میں کاروبار کے لیے مشغول رہتے تھے اور میرے انصاری بھائی اپنے مویشیوں کی ذمہ داری میں لگے رہتے تھے جبکہ میں ایک قلاش آدمی تھا، پیٹ بھر جاتا تو ہروقت رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس رہتا تھا۔ جب یہ لوگ غائب ہوتے تو میں وہاں موجود رہتا اور جب وہ بھول جاتے تو میں یادرکھتا تھا ایک دن نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’تم میں سے جو کوئی اپنا کپڑا اس وقت تک پھیلائے رکھے جب تک میں اپنی گفتگو ختم کروں پھر اسے سمیٹ کراپنے سینے سے لگالے تو وہ میری گفتگو کو کبھی نہیں بولے گا۔‘‘ یہ سن کر میں نے اپنی چادر بچھادی جبکہ اس چادر کے علاوہ میرے پاس اور کوئی کپڑا نہ تھا یہاں تک کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے اپنی تقریر ختم کی تو میں نے اسے سمیٹ کر اپنے سینے سے لگالیا۔ اس ذات کی قسم جس نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو حق دے کر مبعوث کیا ہے!میں آپ کا وہ کلام آج تک نہیں بھولا۔ اللہ کی قسم!اگر اللہ کی کتاب میں یہ دو آیات نہ ہوتیں تو میں تم سے کبھی کوئی حدیث بیان نہ کرتا اور وہ دو آیات یہ ہیں: ﴿إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَا أَنزَلْنَا مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَىٰ﴾ ’’بے شک جو لوگ ہماری نازل کردہ واضح دلیلوں اور ہدایت کو چھپاتے ہیں۔۔۔ ‘‘ آخر تک۔

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai unhon ne farmaya: Log Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu Anhu) ke mutaliq bakasrat ahadith bayan karne ka itiraz karte hain. Aakhir is ne bhi Allah Ta'ala se milna hai. Log kehte hain ke doosre Muhajireen aur Ansar is (Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu Anhu)) ki tarah ahadith kyun nahi bayan karte? Baat dar-asl ye hai ke mere Muhajir bhai bazaron mein karobar ke liye mashghool rehte the aur mere Ansari bhai apne maweshiyon ki zimme-dari mein lage rehte the jabke mein ek qallash aadmi tha, pait bhar jata to har waqt Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke paas rehta tha. Jab ye log ghaib hote to mein wahan maujood rehta aur jab wo bhool jate to mein yaad rakhta tha ek din Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: ''Tum mein se jo koi apna kapda is waqt tak phailaye rakhe jab tak mein apni guftagu khatam karoon phir ise samait kar apne seene se laga le to wo meri guftagu ko kabhi nahi bhoole ga.'' Ye sun kar mein ne apni chadar bicha di jabke is chadar ke ilawa mere paas aur koi kapda na tha yahan tak ke Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne apni taqreer khatam ki to mein ne ise samait kar apne seene se laga liya. Is zaat ki qasam jis ne Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko haq de kar mab'ooth kiya hai! Mein Aap ka wo kalam aaj tak nahi bhoola. Allah ki qasam! Agar Allah ki kitab mein ye do aayat na hotin to mein tum se kabhi koi hadith bayan na karta aur wo do aayat ye hain: {Innallazeena yaktumoona ma anzalna minal bayyinaati wal huda} ''Beshak jo log hamari nazil-karda wazih daleelon aur hidayat ko chupate hain...'' حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : يَقُولُونَ إِنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُكْثِرُ الْحَدِيثَ وَاللَّهُ الْمَوْعِدُ ، وَيَقُولُونَ مَا لِلْمُهَاجِرِينَ ، وَالْأَنْصَارِ لَا يُحَدِّثُونَ مِثْلَ أَحَادِيثِهِ ، وَإِنَّ إِخْوَتِي مِنْ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ كَانَ يَشْغَلُهُمُ الصَّفْقُ بِالْأَسْوَاقِ ، وَإِنَّ إِخْوَتِي مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ كَانَ يَشْغَلُهُمْ عَمَلُ أَمْوَالِهِمْ ، وَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِسْكِينًا أَلْزَمُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى مِلْءِ بَطْنِي ، فَأَحْضُرُ حِينَ يَغِيبُونَ ، وَأَعِي حِينَ يَنْسَوْنَ ، وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : يَوْمًا لَنْ يَبْسُطَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ ثَوْبَهُ حَتَّى أَقْضِيَ مَقَالَتِي هَذِهِ ، ثُمَّ يَجْمَعَهُ إِلَى صَدْرِهِ فَيَنْسَى مِنْ مَقَالَتِي شَيْئًا أَبَدًا ، فَبَسَطْتُ نَمِرَةً لَيْسَ عَلَيَّ ثَوْبٌ غَيْرُهَا حَتَّى قَضَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَقَالَتَهُ ، ثُمَّ جَمَعْتُهَا إِلَى صَدْرِي ، فَوَالَّذِي بَعَثَهُ بِالْحَقِّ مَا نَسِيتُ مِنْ مَقَالَتِهِ تِلْكَ إِلَى يَوْمِي هَذَا ، وَاللَّهِ لَوْلَا آيَتَانِ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ مَا حَدَّثْتُكُمْ شَيْئًا أَبَدً إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَا أَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَى إِلَى قَوْلِهِ الرَّحِيمُ سورة البقرة آية 160 .
