Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) reached Khaibar in the morning, while the people were coming out carrying their spades over their shoulders. When they saw him they said, ‘this is Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and his army! Muhammad ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and his army!’ So, they took refuge in the fort. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) raised both his hands and said, ‘Allahu Akbar, Khaibar is ruined, for when we approach a nation (enemy to fight) then miserable is the morning of the warned ones.’ Then we found some donkeys which we (killed and) cooked, the announcer of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) announced, ‘Allah ( ه وَجَلهعَز) and His Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) forbid you to eat donkey's meat.’ So, all the pots including their contents were turned upside down.
حضرت انس ؓ سے روایت ہے، انھوں نے کہا کہ نبی ﷺ نے خیبر پر صبح کے وقت حملہ کیا جبکہ وہاں کے باشندے اپنے کندھوں پر کسیاں رکھے باہر نکل رہے تھے۔ انھوں نے آپ کو دیکھا تو چلا اٹھے کہ یہ محمد ﷺ تو اپنے لشکر سمیت آچکے ہیں۔ محمد ﷺ اپنے لشکر سمیت آگئے ہیں۔ چنانچہ وہ سب بھاگ کر قلعے میں پناہ گزیں ہو گئے۔ اس وقت نبی ﷺ نے اپنے ہاتھ اٹھائے اور فرمایا: ’’اللہ أکبر!خیبر تو تباہ ہو چکا۔ ہم جب کسی قوم کے میدان میں ڈیرے ڈال دیں تو ڈرائے ہوئے لوگوں کی صبح بہت بری ہوتی ہے۔‘‘ (حضرت انس ؓنے بیان کیا کہ) ہم نے گدھے پکڑے اور انھیں ذبح کر کے ان کا گوشت پکانا شروع کردیا تو نبی ﷺ کی طرف سے ایک منادی نے اعلان کردیا کہ اللہ اور اس کا رسول تمھیں گدھوں کے گوشت سے منع کرتے ہیں۔ اس اعلان کے بعد ہنڈیاں گوشت سمیت الٹ دی گئیں۔ اس روایت کی متابعت علی نے سفیان سے بیان کر کے کی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے اپنے دونوں ہاتھ اٹھائے تھے۔

Chunanche wo sab bhag kar qila mein panah-guzeen ho gaye. Is waqt Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne apne hath uthaye aur farmaya: "Allah-o-Akbar! Khaibar to tabah ho chuka. Hum jab kisi qaum ke maidan mein deray daal dein to daraye hue logon ki subah bahut buri hoti hai." (Hazrat Anas (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne bayan kiya ke) Hum ne gadhe pakray aur inhein zibah kar ke in ka gosht pakana shuru kardiya to Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki taraf se ek munadi ne elan kardiya ke Allah aur us ka Rasul tumhein gadhon ke gosht se mana karte hain. حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : صَبَّحَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْبَرَ وَقَدْ خَرَجُوا بِالْمَسَاحِي عَلَى أَعْنَاقِهِمْ فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ ، قَالُوا : هَذَا مُحَمَّدٌ وَالْخَمِيسُ ، مُحَمَّدٌ وَالْخَمِيسُ فَلَجَئُوا إِلَى الْحِصْنِ ، فَرَفَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَيْهِ ، وَقَالَ : اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ خَرِبَتْ خَيْبَرُ إِنَّا إِذَا نَزَلْنَا بِسَاحَةِ قَوْمٍ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ ، وَأَصَبْنَا حُمُرًا فَطَبَخْنَاهَا فَنَادَى مُنَادِي النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ يَنْهَيَانِكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ ، فَأُكْفِئَتِ الْقُدُورُ بِمَا فِيهَا تَابَعَهُ عَلِيٌّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ رَفَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَيْهِ .
