Narrated Ibn `Abbas: I stayed overnight in the house of my aunt Maimuna. Allah's Messenger talked with his wife for a while and then went to bed. When it was the last third of the night, he got up and looked towards the sky and said: Verily! In the creation of the Heavens and the Earth and in the alteration of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding. (3.190) Then he stood up, performed ablution, brushed his teeth with a Siwak, and then prayed eleven rak`at. Then Bilal pronounced the Adhan (i.e. call for the Fajr prayer). The Prophet then offered two rak`at (Sunna) prayer and went out (to the Mosque) and offered the (compulsory congregational) Fajr prayer.
حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: ایک رات میں نے اپنی خالہ حضرت میمونہ ؓ کے گھر میں گزاری۔ رسول اللہ ﷺ کچھ دیر تک تو اپنی زوجہ محترمہ کے ساتھ محو گفتگو رہے، اس کے بعد سو گئے۔ جب تہائی شب رہ گئی تو آپ اٹھ بیٹھے، آسمان کی طرف نظر اٹھا کر یہ آیات تلاوت فرمائیں: "بےشک آسمانوں اور زمین کے پیدا کرنے اور دن اور رات کے بدل بدل کر آنے جانے میں عقل مندوں کے لیے بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں۔" پھر آپ اٹھ کھڑے ہوئے، وضو کیا، مسواک کی اور گیارہ رکعت نماز پڑھی۔ اس کے بعد حضرت بلال ؓ نے اذان دی تو دو رکعت (سنت) پڑھیں۔ اس کے بعد آپ باہر تشریف لائے اور صبح کی نماز پڑھائی۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne farmaya: Ek raat main ne apni khala Hazrat Maimuna (Radi Allahu Anha) ke ghar mein guzari. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) kuch der tak to apni zauja muhtarama ke sath mahu-e-guftagu rahe, is ke baad so gaye. Jab tihai shab reh gayi to Aap uth baithe, aasman ki taraf nazar utha kar yeh ayaat tilawat farmai: "Beshak aasmanon aur zameen ke paida karne aur din aur raat ke badal badal kar aane jaane mein aqal-mandon ke liye bahut si nishaniyan hain." Phir Aap uth khare hue, wuzu kiya, miswak ki aur gyarah rakat namaz parhi. Is ke baad Hazrat Bilal (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne azan di to do rakat (sunnat) parhi. Is ke baad Aap bahar tashreef laye aur subah ki namaz parhayi.
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَمِرٍ ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : بِتُّ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ ، فَتَحَدَّثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَ أَهْلِهِ سَاعَةً ، ثُمَّ رَقَدَ ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرُ ، قَعَدَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لآيَاتٍ لأُولِي الأَلْبَابِ سورة آل عمران آية 190 ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَتَوَضَّأَ ، وَاسْتَنَّ فَصَلَّى إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً ، ثُمَّ أَذَّنَ بِلَالٌ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَصَلَّى الصُّبْحَ .
