Narrated `Aisha: I heard Allah's Messenger saying, No prophet gets sick but he is given the choice to select either this world or the Hereafter. `Aisha added: During his fatal illness, his voice became very husky and I heard him saying: In the company of those whom is the Grace of Allah, of the prophets, the Siddiqin (those followers of the prophets who were first and foremost to believe in them), the martyrs and the pious.' (4.69) And from this I came to know that he has been given the option.
حضرت عائشہ ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا: میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ’’ہر نبی کو اس کی بیماری میں اختیار دیا جاتا ہے کہ چاہے تو دنیا میں رہے اور چاہے تو آخرت کو پسند کرے۔‘‘ اور آپ ﷺ کو مرض الموت میں جب سخت دھچکا لگا تو میں نے سنا، آپ فرما رہے تھے: ’’ان لوگوں کی رفاقت جن پر اللہ تعالٰی نے انعام کیا، یعنی انبیاء، صدیقین، شہداء اور صلحاء کی رفاقت۔‘‘ میں اس وقت سمجھ گئی کہ اب آپ کو بھی اختیار دیا گیا ہے۔
Hazrat Aisha (Radi Allahu Anha) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha: Main ne Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko yeh farmate hue suna: ''Har nabi ko us ki bimari mein ikhtiyar diya jata hai ke chahe to duniya mein rahe aur chahe to aakhirat ko pasand kare.'' Aur Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko marz-ul-maut mein jab sakht dhachka laga to main ne suna, Aap farma rahe the: ''In logon ki rafaqat jin par Allah Ta'ala ne inaam kiya, yaani ambiya, siddiqeen, shuhada aur sulaha ki rafaqat.'' Main us waqt samajh gayi ke ab Aap ko bhi ikhtiyar diya gaya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : مَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ يَمْرَضُ إِلَّا خُيِّرَ بَيْنَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ، وَكَانَ فِي شَكْوَاهُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ ، أَخَذَتْهُ بُحَّةٌ شَدِيدَةٌ ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَالصَّالِحِينَ سورة النساء آية 69 ، فَعَلِمْتُ أَنَّهُ خُيِّرَ .
