Narrated `Aisha: (the wife of the Prophet) When believing women came to the Prophet as emigrants, he used to test them in accordance with the order of Allah. 'O you who believe! When believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them . . .' (60.10) So if anyone of those believing women accepted the above mentioned conditions, she accepted the conditions of faith. When they agreed on those conditions and confessed that with their tongues, Allah's Apostle would say to them, Go, I have accepted your oath of allegiance (for Islam). By Allah, and hand of Allah's Apostle never touched the hand of any woman, but he only used to take their pledge of allegiance orally. By Allah, Allah's Apostle did not take the pledge of allegiance of the women except in accordance with what Allah had ordered him. When he accepted their pledge of allegiance he would say to them, I have accepted your oath of allegiance.
نبی ﷺ کی زوجہ محترمہ ام المومنین سیدہ عائشہ ؓ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے فرمایا: جب اہل ایمان خواتین ہجرت کر کے نبی ﷺ کی طرف آتیں تو آپ ان کا امتحان لیتے کیونکہ ارشاد باری تعالٰی ہے: ”اے ایمان والو! جب مومن خواتین تمہارے پاس ہجرت کر کے آئیں تو تم ان کا امتحان لو۔ ۔ ۔ ۔ “ سدہ عائشہ ؓ فرماتی ہیں کہ مومنات میں سے جو جو عورت اس شرط کا اقرار کر لیتی وہ امتحان میں کامیاب خیال کی جاتی چنانچہ جب وہ اس شرط کا اقرار کر لیتیں تو رسول اللہ ﷺ ان سے فرماتے: ”اب جاؤ میں نے تم سے عہد لے لیا ہے۔“ اللہ کی قسم! بیعت لیتے وقت رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ہاتھ کبھی نہیں چھوا۔ آپ ﷺ ان خواتین سے زبانی کلامی بیعت لیتے تھے۔ اللہ کی قسم! رسول اللہ ﷺ نے عورتوں سے صرف ان چیزوں پر عہد لیا جن کا اللہ تعالٰی نے آپ کو حکم دیا تھا۔ بیعت لینے کے بعد آپ ان سے فرماتے: ”میں نے تم سے بیعت لے لی ہے۔“ یہ آپ صرف زبان سے کہتے تھے۔
Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ki zauja-e-muhtarma Umm-ul-Momineen Sayyida Aisha (radi Allahu anha) se riwayat hai unhon ne farmaya: Jab ahl-e-iman khawateen hijrat kar ke Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ki taraf aateen to Aap un ka imtihan lete kyunke irshad-e-bari Ta'ala hai: "Ae iman walo! Jab momin khawateen tumhare paas hijrat kar ke ayen to tum un ka imtihan lo..." Sayyida Aisha (radi Allahu anha) farmati hain ke mominaat mein se jo jo aurat is shart ka iqrar kar leti woh imtihan mein kamyab khayal ki jati chunancha jab woh is shart ka iqrar kar leten to Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) un se farmate: "Ab jao mein ne tum se ahd le liya hai." Allah ki qasam! Baiat lete waqt Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne hath kabhi nahi chuwa. Aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) in khawateen se zabani kalami baiat lete thay. Allah ki qasam! Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne aurton se sirf in cheezon par ahd liya jin ka Allah Ta'ala ne Aap ko hukm diya tha. Baiat lene ke baad Aap un se farmate: "Mein ne tum se baiat le li hai." Yeh Aap sirf zaban se kehte thay.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، وَقَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ ، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ : أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَتِ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ إِذَا هَاجَرْنَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْتَحِنُهُنَّ بِقَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى : يَأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا جَاءَكُمُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ مُهَاجِرَاتٍ فَامْتَحِنُوهُنَّ سورة الممتحنة آية 10 إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : فَمَنْ أَقَرَّ بِهَذَا الشَّرْطِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ فَقَدْ أَقَرَّ بِالْمِحْنَةِ ، فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَقْرَرْنَ بِذَلِكَ مِنْ قَوْلِهِنَّ ، قَالَ لَهُنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : انْطَلِقْنَ فَقَدْ بَايَعْتُكُنَّ ، لَا وَاللَّهِ مَا مَسَّتْ يَدُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَ امْرَأَةٍ قَطُّ ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ بَايَعَهُنَّ بِالْكَلَامِ ، وَاللَّهِ مَا أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ إِلَّا بِمَا أَمَرَهُ اللَّهُ : يَقُولُ لَهُنَّ : إِذَا أَخَذَ عَلَيْهِنَّ قَدْ بَايَعْتُكُنَّ كَلَامًا .
