Ibn Umar ( رضي الله تعالیعنہ) narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) had a gold ring made for himself, and he used to wear it with the stone towards the inner part of his hand. Consequently, the people had similar rings made for themselves. Afterwards the Prophet ( صلى ہللاعليه و آله وسلم) sat on the pulpit and took it off, saying, ‘I used to wear this ring and keep its stone towards the palm of my hand.’ He then threw it away and said, ‘by Allah, I will never wear it.’ Therefore, all the people threw away their rings as well.
حضرت ابن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے سونے کی ایک انگوٹھی بنوائی اور آپ نے اسے پہننا شروع کر دیا۔ آپ اس کا نگینہ ہتھیلی کے اندرونی حصے کی طرف رکھتے تھے۔ پھر لوگوں نے بھی ایسی انگوٹھیاں بنوا لیں۔ آپ ایک دن منبر پر تشریف فرما ہوئے اور اپنی انگوٹھی اتار کر فرمایا: ”میں اسے پہنتا تھا اور اس کا نگینہ اندر کی طرف رکھتا تھا۔“ پھر آپ نے اسے پھینک دیا اور فرمایا: ”اللہ کی قسم! اب میں اسے آئندہ نہیں پہنوں گا۔“ اس کے بعد لوگوں نے بھی اپنی انگوٹھیاں پھینک دیں۔
Hazrat Ibn Umar (Razi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne sone ki ek angoothi banwayi aur Aap ne ise pehenna shuru kar diya. Aap is ka nagina hatheli ke andruni hisse ki taraf rakhte the. Phir logon ne bhi aisi angoothiyaan banwa lein. Aap ek din mimbar par tashreef-farma hue aur apni angoothi utaar kar farmaya: 'Main ise pehenta tha aur is ka nagina andar ki taraf rakhta tha.' Phir Aap ne ise phenk diya aur farmaya: 'Allah ki qasam! ab main ise aindah nahi pehnu ga.' Is ke baad logon ne bhi apni angoothiyaan phenk dein.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اصْطَنَعَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، وَكَانَ يَلْبَسُهُ فَيَجْعَلُ فَصَّهُ فِي بَاطِنِ كَفِّهِ ، فَصَنَعَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَ ، ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ جَلَسَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَنَزَعَهُ ، فَقَالَ : إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَلْبَسُ هَذَا الْخَاتِمَ ، وَأَجْعَلُ فَصَّهُ مِنْ دَاخِلٍ فَرَمَى بِهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : وَاللَّهِ لَا أَلْبَسُهُ أَبَدًا ، فَنَبَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ .
