Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that some people from the tribe of Ukl ( ٍعُكْل) came to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and embraced Islam. The climate of Madina did not suit them, so the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ordered them to go to the (herd of milch) camels of charity and to drink, their milk and urine (as a medicine). They did so, and after they had recovered from their ailment (became healthy) they turned renegades (reverted from Islam) and killed the shepherd of the camels and took the camels away. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sent (some people) in their pursuit and so they were (caught and) brought, and the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ordered that their hands and legs should be cut off and that their eyes should be branded with heated pieces of iron, and that their cut hands and legs should not be cauterized, till they die.
حضرت انس ؓ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا: نبی ﷺ کے پاس قبیلہ عکل کے چند آدمی آئے اور اسلام قبول کیا لیکن مدینہ طیبہ کی آب وہوا ان کو موافق نہ آئی تو آپ ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا کہ تم صدقے کے اونٹوں کے پاس رہائش رکھو اور ان کا پیشاب اور دودھ نوش کرو۔ انہوں نے (ایسا) کیا تو صحت یاب ہوگئے، لیکن اس کے بعد وہ دین سے برگزشتہ ہوگئے اور اونٹوں کے چرواہوں کو قتل کر کے اونٹوں کو ہانک کر لے گئے۔ آپ ﷺ نے ان کی تلاش میں سوار بھیجے تو وہ انہیں گرفتار کر کے لے آئے۔ آپ ﷺ نے ان کے ہاتھ اور پاؤں (مخالف سمت سے) کاٹنے کا حکم دیا، نیز ان کی آنکھیں بھی پھوڑی دی گئیں، پھر آپ نے ان کے زخموں پر داغ نہ دیا حتیٰ کہ وہ سسک سسک کر مرگئے۔
Hazrat Anas (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai unhone kaha: Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke paas qabila Ukl ke chand aadmi aaye aur Islam qabool kiya lekin Madinah Tayyiba ki aab-o-hawa un ko muwafiq na aayi to Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne un se farmaya ke tum sadqe ke oonton ke paas rahaish rakho aur un ka peshab aur doodh nosh karo. Unhone (aisa) kiya to sehat-yab ho gaye, lekin is ke baad wo deen se bargashta ho gaye aur oonton ke charwaho ko qatl kar ke oonton ko haank kar le gaye. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne un ki talash mein sawar bheje to wo unhein giriftar kar ke le aaye. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne un ke hath aur paon (mukhalif simt se) kaatne ka hukm diya, neez un ki aankhein bhi phod di gayeen, phir Aap ne un ke zakhmon par daagh na diya hatta ke wo sisk sisk kar mar gaye.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو قِلَابَةَ الْجَرْمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَفَرٌ مِنْ عُكْلٍ ، فَأَسْلَمُوا فَاجْتَوَوْا الْمَدِينَةَ ، فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَأْتُوا إِبِلَ الصَّدَقَةِ ، فَيَشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَبْوَالِهَا وَأَلْبَانِهَا ، فَفَعَلُوا ، فَصَحُّوا ، فَارْتَدُّوا وَقَتَلُوا رُعَاتَهَا ، وَاسْتَاقُوا الْإِبِلَ ، فَبَعَثَ فِي آثَارِهِمْ ، فَأُتِيَ بِهِمْ فَقَطَعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ ، وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَلَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَحْسِمْهُمْ حَتَّى مَاتُوا .
