Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet used to invoke Allah at night, saying, O Allah: All the Praises are for You: You are the Lord of the Heavens and the Earth. All the Praises are for You; You are the Maintainer of the Heaven and the Earth and whatever is in them. All the Praises are for You; You are the Light of the Heavens and the Earth. Your Word is the Truth, and Your Promise is the Truth, and the Meeting with You is the Truth, and Paradise is the Truth, and the (Hell) Fire is the Truth, and the Hour is the Truth. O Allah! I surrender myself to You, and I believe in You and I depend upon You, and I repent to You and with You (Your evidences) I stand against my opponents, and to you I leave the judgment (for those who refuse my message). O Allah! Forgive me my sins that I did in the past or will do in the future, and also the sins I did in secret or in public. You are my only God (Whom I worship) and there is no other God for me (i.e. I worship none but You). Narrated Sufyan: (regarding the above narration) that the Prophet added, You are the Truth, and Your Word is the Truth.
سیدنا ابن عباس ؓ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا: نبی ﷺ رات کے وقت اکثر یہ دعا پڑھا کرتے تھے: اےاللہ! تیرے ہی لیے تعریف ہے۔ تو آسمانوں اور زمین کا مالک ہے۔ حمدوثنا تیرے ہی لیے ہے۔ تو آسمان و زمین اور جو کچھ ان میں ہے ان سب کو قائم کرنے والا ہے۔ تعریف تجھے ہی سزاوار ہے۔ تو آسمانوں وزمین کا نور ہے۔ تیرا قول، برحق، تیرا وعدہ مبنی بر حقیقت ہے تیری ملاقات برحق، جنت سچ اور جہنم برحق نیز روز قیامت بھی حق ہے، اے اللہ! میں نے تیرے حضور اپنا سر جھکا دیا۔ میں تجھی پر ایمان لایا۔ میں نے تجھی پر بھروسا کیا اور تیری ہی طرف رجوع کیا۔ میں تیری ہی مدد سے باطل کے خلاف برسرپیکار ہوں اور تجھی سے انصاف کا طلب گار ہوں۔ میرے ان تمام گناہوں کو معاف کردے جو میں پہلے کرچکا ہوں اور جو بعد میں مجھ سے صادر ہوں۔ وہ گناہ بھی معاف کردے جو میں نے پوشیدہ طور پر کیے ہیں اور جو میں نے اعلانیہ کیے ہیں، تو ہی میرا معبود ہے۔ تیرے سوا کوئی بھی معبود برحق نہیں۔۔ ثابت بن محمد کہتے ہیں کہ سفیان ثوری نے ہم سے یہ الفاظ بیان کیے تھے ”تو حق ہے اور تیرا کلام سچ ہے۔“
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai unhone kaha: Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) raat ke waqt aksar yeh dua parha karte thay: Ay Allah! Tere hi liye tareef hai. Tu aasmanon aur zameen ka malik hai. Hamd-o-sana Tere hi liye hai. Tu aasman-o-zameen aur jo kuch un mein hai un sab ko qayam karne wala hai. Tareef Tujhe hi sazawaar hai. Tu aasmanon aur zameen ka noor hai. Tera qaul barhaq, Tera wa'da mabni-bar-haqiqat hai Teri mulaqat barhaq, jannat sach aur jahannum barhaq neez roz-e-qayamat bhi haq hai, Ay Allah! Main ne Tere huzoor apna sar jhuka diya. Main Tujhi par iman laya. Main ne Tujhi par bharosa kiya aur Teri hi taraf rujoo kiya. Main Teri hi madad se baatil ke khilaf bar-sar-e-paukar hoon aur Tujhi se insaf ka talab-gaar hoon. Mere in tamam gunahon ko maaf karde jo main pehle kar chuka hoon aur jo baad mein mujh se sadir hon. Woh gunah bhi maaf karde jo main ne poshida taur par kiye hain aur jo main ne alania kiye hain, Tu hi mera mabood hai. Tere siwa koi bhi mabood-e-barhaq nahi. Sabit bin Muhammad kehte hain ke Sufyan Sawri ne hum se yeh alfaz bayan kiye thay ''Tu haq hai aur Tera kalam sach hai.''
حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْعُو مِنَ اللَّيْلِ : اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ ، أَنْتَ رَبُّ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ، لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ قَيِّمُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ ، أَنْتَ نُورُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ قَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ ، وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ ، وَلِقَاؤُكَ حَقٌّ ، وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ ، وَالسَّاعَةُ حَقٌّ ، اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ ، وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ ، وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ ، وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ ، وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ ، وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ ، وَأَسْرَرْتُ وَأَعْلَنْتُ ، أَنْتَ إِلَهِي لَا إِلَهَ لِي غَيْرُكَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بِهَذَا ، وَقَالَ وَقَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ .
