Narrated Ibn `Abbas: Once I stayed overnight at the house of (my aunt ) Maimuna while the Prophet was with her, to see how was the night prayer of Allah s Apostle Allah's Apostle talked to his wife for a while and then slept. When it was the last third of the night (or part of it), the Prophet got up and looked towards the sky and recited the Verse:-- 'Verily! In the creation of the Heavens and the Earth....there are indeed signs for the men of understanding.' (3.190) Then He got up and performed the ablution, brushed his teeth and offered eleven rak`at. Then Bilal pronounced the Adhan whereupon the Prophet offered a two-rak`at (Sunna) prayer and went out to lead the people in Fajr (morning compulsory congregational prayer.
سیدنا ابن عباس ؓ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا: میں ایک رات سیدہ میمونہ ؓ کے گھر رہا جبکہ اس رات نبی ﷺ بھی ان کے پاس موجود تھے۔ وہاں رات گزارنے کا مقصد رسول اللہ ﷺ کی رات کی نماز دیکھنا تھا۔ رسول اللہ ﷺ کچھ وقت اپنی زوجہ محترمہ سے محو گفتگو رہے، پھر سو گئے، جب رات کا آخری تہائی حصہ یا کچھ حصہ باقی رہ گیا تو آپ اٹھ بیٹھے اور آسمان کی طرف دیکھ کر یہ آیت پڑھی: ”بلاشبہ آسمانوں اور زمین کی پیدائش میں (رات اور دن کے باری باری آنے جانے میں) اہل عقل کے لیے بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں۔“ پھر اٹھ کر آپ نے وضو فرمایا اور مسواک کی، اس کے بعد گیارہ رکعتیں پڑھیں۔ پھر سیدنا بلال ؓ نے نماز کے لیے اذان دی تو آپ ﷺ نے دو رکعت (سنت فجر) پڑھیں پھر باہر تشریف لے گئے اور لوگوں کو صبح کی نماز پڑھائی ۔
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai unhone kaha: Main ek raat Sayyidah Maimoona (Radi Allahu Anha) ke ghar raha jabke is raat Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) bhi un ke paas maujood thay. Wahan raat guzarne ka maqsad Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki raat ki namaz dekhna tha. Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) kuch waqt apni zauja muhtarma se mahw-e-guftagu rahe, phir so gaye, jab raat ka aakhri tihai hissa ya kuch hissa baqi reh gaya to Aap uth baithe aur aasman ki taraf dekh kar yeh ayat parhi: ''Bilashuba aasmanon aur zameen ki paidaish mein (raat aur din ke bari bari aane jane mein) ahl-e-aqal ke liye bohat si nishanian hain.'' Phir uth kar Aap ne wazu farmaya aur miswak ki, is ke baad gyarah raka'atein parhin. Phir Sayyiduna Bilal (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne namaz ke liye azan di to Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne do raka'at (sunnat-e-fajr) parhin phir bahar tashreef le gaye aur logon ko subah ki namaz parhai.
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَمِرٍ ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : بِتُّ فِي بَيْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ لَيْلَةً ، وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَهَا لِأَنْظُرَ كَيْفَ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِاللَّيْلِ ، فَتَحَدَّثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَ أَهْلِهِ سَاعَةً ، ثُمَّ رَقَدَ ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرُ أَوْ بَعْضُهُ قَعَدَ ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ ، فَقَرَأَ : إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ لأُولِي الأَلْبَابِ سورة آل عمران آية 190 ، ثُمَّ قَامَ ، فَتَوَضَّأَ وَاسْتَنَّ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً ، ثُمَّ أَذَّنَ بِلَالٌ بِالصَّلَاةِ ، فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ ، فَصَلَّى لِلنَّاسِ الصُّبْحَ .
