Al-Hasan narrated that Amr bin Taghlib (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, ‘some property was given to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and he gave it to some people and withheld it from some others. Then he came to know that they (the latter) were dissatisfied. So, the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, 'I give to one man and leave (do not give) another, and the one to whom I do not give is dearer to me than the one to whom I give. I give to some people because of the impatience and discontent present in their hearts and leave other people because of the content and goodness Allah has bestowed on them, and one of them is Amr bin Taghlib.’ Amr bin Taghlib said, ‘the sentence which Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said in my favor is dearer to me than the possession of nice red camels.’
سیدنا عمرو بن تغلب ؓ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا: نبی ﷺ کے پاس آیا تو آپ نے اس میں سے کچھ لوگوں کو دیا اور کچھ کو نہ دیا۔ اس کے بعد آپ کو معلوم ہوا کہ اس تقسیم پر کچھ لوگ ناراض ہوئے ہیں تو آپ نےفرمایا: ”میں ایک شخص کو دیتا ہوں اور دوسرے کو چھوڑ دیتا ہوں اور جسے میں نہیں دیتا وہ مجھے اس سے زیادہ پیارا ہوتا ہے جسے دیتا ہوں۔ جن لوگوں کو دیتا ہوں وہ اس لیے کہ ان کے دلوں میں گھبراہٹ اور بے چینی ہوتی ہے، جبکہ دوسرے لوگوں پر اعتماد کرتا ہوں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان کے دلوں کو بے نیازی اور بھلائی عطا فرمائی ہے۔ ان میں عمرو بن تغلب بھی ہیں۔“ (یہ سن کر) سیدنا عمرو بن تغلب ؓ نے کہا: رسول اللہﷺ کے کلمہ تحسین کے مقابلے میں مجھے سرخ اونٹ بھی ملتے تو میں انہیں ہرگز پسند نہ کرتا۔
Sayyidna Amru bin Taghlib (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai unhon ne kaha: Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ke pas (maal) aaya to Aap ne is mein se kuch logon ko diya aur kuch ko na diya. Is ke baad Aap ko maloom hua ke is taqseem par kuch log naraz hue hain to Aap ne farmaya: "Main ek shakhs ko deta hoon aur doosre ko chhor deta hoon aur jise main nahi deta woh mujhe is se ziyada pyara hota hai jise deta hoon. Jin logon ko deta hoon woh is liye ke un ke dilon mein ghabrahat aur be-chaini hoti hai, jabke doosre logon par aitmad karta hoon ke Allah Ta'ala ne un ke dilon ko be-niyazi aur bhalayi ata farmayi hai. In mein Amru bin Taghlib bhi hain." (Yeh sun kar) Sayyidna Amru bin Taghlib (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne kaha: Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ke kalima-e-tahseen ke muqable mein mujhe surkh oont bhi milte to main unhein hargiz pasand na karta.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ تَغْلِبَ ، قَالَ : أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَالٌ ، فَأَعْطَى قَوْمًا وَمَنَعَ آخَرِينَ ، فَبَلَغَهُ أَنَّهُمْ عَتَبُوا ، فَقَالَ : إِنِّي أُعْطِي الرَّجُلَ وَأَدَعُ الرَّجُلَ ، وَالَّذِي أَدَعُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنَ الَّذِي أُعْطِي ، أُعْطِي أَقْوَامًا لِمَا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مِنَ الْجَزَعِ وَالْهَلَعِ ، وَأَكِلُ أَقْوَامًا إِلَى مَا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مِنَ الْغِنَى وَالْخَيْرِ مِنْهُمْ عَمْرُو بْنُ تَغْلِبَ ، فَقَالَ عَمْرٌو : مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي بِكَلِمَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُمْرَ النَّعَمِ .
