باب سُؤَالِ النَّاسِ الإِمَامَ الاِسْتِسْقَاءَ إِذَا قَحَطُوا
Sahih al-Bukhari 1009
Salim's father (Ibn `Umar) said, The following poetic verse occurred to my mind while I was looking at the face of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) while he was praying for rain. He did not get down till the rain water flowed profusely from every roof-gutter: And a white (person) who is requested to pray for rain and who takes care of the orphans and is the guardian of widows . . . And these were the words of Abu Talib.
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ ہی سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا کہ جب میں نبی ﷺ کے چہرہ انور کو دعائے استسقاء کرتے وقت دیکھتا ہوں تو اکثر مجھے شاعر (ابوطالب) کا شعر یاد آجاتا ہے۔ آپ منبر سے نہ اتر پاتے تھے کہ تمام پرنالے تیزی سے بہنے لگتے۔ وہ شعر یہ ہے: ’’وہ گورے مکھڑے والا جس کے رخِ زیبا کے واسطے سے ابر رحمت کی دعائیں مانگی جاتی ہیں۔ وہ یتیموں کا سہارا، بیواؤں اور مسکینوں کا سرپرست ہے۔‘‘
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) hi se riwayat hai, unhon ne farmaya ke jab mein Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke chehra-e-anwar ko dua-e-istisqa karte waqt dekhta hoon to aksar mujhe shayar (Abu Talib) ka sher yaad ajata hai. Aap minbar se na utar paate thay ke tamam parnale tezi se behne lagte. Wo sher ye hai: ''Wo goray mukhray wala jis ke rukh-e-ziba ke wastey se abr-e-rehmat ki duayein mangi jati hain. Wo yatimon ka sahara, bewaon aur miskinon ka sarparast hai.''
وَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، رُبَّمَا ذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَ الشَّاعِرِ وَأَنَا أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَجْهِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَسْقِي ، فَمَا يَنْزِلُ حَتَّى يَجِيشَ كُلُّ مِيزَابٍ وَأَبْيَضَ يُسْتَسْقَى الْغَمَامُ بِوَجْهِهِ ثِمَالُ الْيَتَامَى عِصْمَةٌ لِلْأَرَامِلِ ، وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ .
