Chapter: Who is to be given the gift first?
١٦
باب بِمَنْ يُبْدَأُ بِالْهَدِيَّةِ
Sahih al-Bukhari 2594
Narrated Maimuna, the wife of the Prophet (saws) that she manumitted her slave-girl and the Prophet (saws) said to her, You would have got more reward if you had given the slave-girl to one of your maternal uncles.
ام المومنین حضرت میمونہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ انھوں نے ایک لونڈی آزاد کی تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’اگر وہ تم اپنے ننھیال کو دیتیں تو تمھیں زیادہ ثواب ہوتا۔‘‘
Umm-ul-Momonin Hazrat Maimoona (radiyallahu anhu) se riwayat hai ke unhon ne ek londi azad ki to Nabi Kareem (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne farmaya: ''Agar wo tum apne nanhyal ko detein to tumhein zyada sawab hota.' '
وَقَالَ بَكْرٌ : عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، إِنَّ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْتَقَتْ وَلِيدَةً لَهَا ، فَقَالَ لَهَا : وَلَوْ وَصَلْتِ بَعْضَ أَخْوَالِكِ كَانَ أَعْظَمَ لِأَجْرِكِ .
