بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَإِلَى عَادٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُودًا قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ}، وَقَوْلِهِ: {إِذْ أَنْذَرَ قَوْمَهُ بِالأَحْقَافِ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ}

Sahih al-Bukhari 3344
Abu Sa`id (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) sent a piece of gold to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) who distributed it among four persons, Al-Aqra' bin H`abis Al-Hanzali from the tribe of Mujashi, 'Uyaina bin Badr Al-Fazari, Zaid at-Ta'i who belonged to (the tribe of) Bani Nahban, and 'Alqama bin Ulatha Al-`Amir who belonged to (the tribe of) Bani Kilab. So the Quraish and the Ansar became angry and said, ‘the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) gives the chief of Najd and does not give us. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘I give them so as to attract their hearts (to Islam).’ Then a man with sunken eyes, prominent checks, a raised forehead, a thick beard and a shaven head, came (in front of the Prophet ﷺ) and said, ‘be afraid of Allah, O Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)’ The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ' said ‘who would obey Allah if I disobeyed Him? (Is it fair that) Allah has trusted all the people of the earth to me while, you do not trust me?’ Somebody who, I think was Khalid bin Al-Walid (رضي الله تعالى عنه), requested the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) to let him chop that man's head off, but he prevented him. When the man left, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘among the off-spring of this man will be some who will recite the Qur'an but the Qur'an will not reach beyond their throats (they will recite like parrots and will not understand it nor act on it), and they will renegade from the religion as an arrow goes through the game's body. They will kill the Muslims but will not disturb the idolaters. If I should live up to their time' I will kill them as the people of 'Ad were killed.
حضرت ابو سعید خدری ؓسے روایت ہے، انھوں نے کہا کہ حضرت علی ؓ نے نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں (خام) سونے کا ایک ٹکڑا بھیجا تو آپ نے اسے چار اشخاص میں تقسیم کردیا: اقرع بن حابس خنظلی مجاشعی، عیینہ بن بدر فرازی، زید بن طائی جو بنو نبہان کا ایک آدمی تھا اور علقمہ بن علاثہ عامری جو بنو کلاب کا ایک فرد تھا۔ اس تقسیم پر قریش اور انصار غصے سے بھر گئے کہ آپ اہل نجد کے سرداروں کو عطیات دیتے ہیں اور ہمیں نظر انداز کرتے ہیں۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’میں انھیں تالیف قلوب کے لیے دیتا ہوں۔‘‘ اس دوران میں ایک آدمی سامنے آیا جس کی آنکھیں دھنسی ہوئی۔ رخسار ابھرے ہوئے، پیشانی اونچی، داڑھی گھنی اور سر منڈاہواتھا۔ اس نے کہا: اے محمد ﷺ! اللہ سے ڈریں۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’اگر میں اللہ تعالیٰ کی نافرمانی کرنے لگوں تو اور کون فرمانبرداری کرے گا؟ اللہ تعالیٰ نے تومجھے اہل زمین پر امین بنایا ہے لیکن تم مجھے امین نہیں سمجھتے۔‘‘ ایک شخص نے اسے قتل کرنے کی اجازت مانگی۔ میرے خیال میں وہ خالد بن ولید ؓ تھے۔ آپ نے انھیں روک دیا۔ جب وہ شخص چلاگیا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ’’اس شخص کی نسل یا اس کے نسب سے ایسے لوگ پیدا ہوں گے جو قرآن کریم تو پڑھیں گے لیکن قرآن ان کے حلق سے نیچے نہیں اترے گا۔ وہ دین سے ایسے نکل جائیں گےجیسے تیر شکار سے نکل جاتا ہے۔ وہ مسلمانوں کو قتل کریں گے اور بت پرستوں کو چھوڑدیں گے۔ اگر میں انھیں پالوں تو ضرور انھیں ایسے قتل کروں جیسے قوم عاد نیست و نابود ہوئی ہے۔‘‘
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha ke Hazrat Ali (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ki khidmat mein (khaam) sone ka ek tukra bheja to Aap ne use chaar ashkhass mein taqseem kardiya: Aqra bin Habis Khanzali Mujashai, Uyaina bin Badr Farazi, Zaid bin Tai jo Banu Nabhan ka ek aadmi tha aur Alqama bin Alasah Aamiri jo Banu Kilab ka ek fard tha. Is taqseem par Quraish aur Ansar ghusse se bhar gaye ke Aap ahl-e-Najd ke sardaron ko atiyat dete hain aur hamein nazar-andaz karte hain. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Mein inhein taleef-e-quloob ke liye deta hoon." Is dauran mein ek aadmi samne aya jis ki aankhein dhansi hui, rukhsar ubhre hue, peshani oonchi, dadhi ghani aur sar munda hua tha. Us ne kaha: Aye Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)! Allah se darein. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Agar mein Allah Ta'ala ki nafarmani karne lagoon to aur kon farmanbardari kare ga? Allah Ta'ala ne to mujhe ahl-e-zameen par ameen banaya hai lekin tum mujhe ameen nahi samajhte." Ek shakhs ne use qatl karne ki ijazaat mangi. Mere khayal mein wo Khalid bin Walid (Radi Allahu Anhu) the. Aap ne inhein rok diya. Jab wo shakhs chala gaya to Aap ne farmaya: "Is shakhs ki nasl ya us ke nasab se aise log paida hon ge jo Quran Kareem to padhein ge lekin Quran un ke halaq se neeche nahi utre ga. Wo deen se aise nikal jayein ge jaise teer shikar se nikal jata hai. Wo Musalmanon ko qatl karein ge aur but-paraston ko chhod dein ge. Agar mein inhein paoon to zaroor inhein aise qatl karoon jaise Qoum-e-Aad neest-o-nabood hui hai."
قَالَ : وَقَالَ ابْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي نُعْمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : بَعَثَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذُهَيْبَةٍ فَقَسَمَهَا بَيْنَ الْأَرْبَعَةِ الْأَقْرَعِ بْنِ حَابِسٍ الْحَنْظَلِيِّ ثُمَّ الْمُجَاشِعِيِّ وَعُيَيْنَةَ بْنِ بَدْرٍ الْفَزَارِيِّ وَزَيْدٍ الطَّائِيِّ ، ثُمَّ أَحَدِ بَنِي نَبْهَانَ وَعَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ عُلَاثَةَ الْعَامِرِيِّ ، ثُمَّ أَحَدِ بَنِي كِلَابٍ فَغَضِبَتْ قُرَيْشٌ وَالْأَنْصَارُ ، قَالُوا : يُعْطِي صَنَادِيدَ أَهْلِ نَجْدٍ وَيَدَعُنَا ، قَالَ : إِنَّمَا أَتَأَلَّفُهُمْ فَأَقْبَلَ رَجُلٌ غَائِرُ الْعَيْنَيْنِ مُشْرِفُ الْوَجْنَتَيْنِ نَاتِئُ الْجَبِينِ كَثُّ اللِّحْيَةِ مَحْلُوقٌ ، فَقَالَ : اتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، فَقَالَ : مَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ إِذَا عَصَيْتُ أَيَأْمَنُنِي اللَّهُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ فَلَا تَأْمَنُونِي فَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ قَتْلَهُ أَحْسِبُهُ خَالِدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ فَمَنَعَهُ فَلَمَّا وَلَّى ، قَالَ : إِنَّ مِنْ ضِئْضِئِ هَذَا أَوْ فِي عَقِبِ هَذَا قَوْمًا يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ لَا يُجَاوِزُ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الدِّينِ مُرُوقَ السَّهْمِ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ يَقْتُلُونَ أَهْلَ الْإِسْلَامِ وَيَدَعُونَ أَهْلَ الْأَوْثَانِ لَئِنْ أَنَا أَدْرَكْتُهُمْ لَأَقْتُلَنَّهُمْ قَتْلَ عَادٍ .
