Chapter: The signs of Prophethood in Islam

باب عَلاَمَاتِ النُّبُوَّةِ فِي الإِسْلاَمِ
Sahih al-Bukhari 3588
And you will find that the best people are those who hate responsibility of ruling most of all till they are chosen to be the rulers. And the people are of different natures: The best in the pre-lslamic period are the best in Islam.
(نیز آپ نے فرمایا: )’’اورتم(حکومت کے لیے) سب سے اچھا وہ شخص پاؤ گے جو اس امر حکومت(منصب حکومت) سے سخت کراہت کرنے والا ہوگا۔ یہاں تک کہ اسے مجبور کردیاجائےگا۔ لوگ، کانوں کی طرح ہیں۔ ان میں سے جو زمانہ جاہلیت میں اچھے تھے وہ اسلام لانے کے بعد بھی اچھے ہیں۔‘‘
(Neez Aap ne farmaya: )''Aur tum (hukumat ke liye) sab se achha woh shakhs pao ge jo is amr-e-hukumat (mansab-e-hukumat) se sakht karahat karne wala hoga. Yahan tak ke usay majboor kar diya jaye ga. Log, kaanon ki tarah hain. In mein se jo zamana-e-jahiliyat mein achhe thay woh Islam laane ke baad bhi achhe hain.' '
«وَتَجِدُونَ مِنْ خَيْرِ النَّاسِ أَشَدَّهُمْ كَرَاهِيَةً لِهَذَا الأَمْرِ، حَتَّى يَقَعَ فِيهِ، وَالنَّاسُ مَعَادِنُ، خِيَارُهُمْ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ خِيَارُهُمْ فِي الإِسْلاَمِ».
