Sahih al-Bukhari 3958
Al-Bara (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that we, the Companions of Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) used to say that the number of the warriors of Badr was the same as the number of Saul's companions who crossed the river (of Jordan) with him, and none crossed the river with him but a believer, and they were over three-hundred-and-ten men.
حضرت براء بن عازب ؓ سے ایک اور روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا کہ ہم اصحاب محمد ﷺ آپس میں یہ گفتگو کرتے تھے کہ اصحاب بدر کی تعداد بھی اتنی ہی تھی جتنی اصحاب طالوت کی تھی جنہوں نے ان کے ساتھ نہر عبور کی تھی۔ اور اس نہر کو پار کرنے والے صرف اہل ایمان تھے۔ ان کی تعداد تین سو دس سے کچھ زیادہ تھی۔
Hazrat Bara bin Azib (Radi Allahu Anhu) se ek aur riwayat hai, unhon ne farmaya ke hum Ashaab-e-Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) aapas mein yeh guftagu karte thay ke Ashaab-e-Badr ki tadaad bhi itni hi thi jitni Ashaab-e-Taloot ki thi jinhon ne in ke sath neher uboor ki thi. Aur is neher ko paar karne wale sirf ahl-e-iman thay. In ki tadaad teen so das se kuch zyada thi.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا أَصْحَابَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَتَحَدَّثُ أَنَّعِدَّةَ أَصْحَابِ بَدْرٍ عَلَى عِدَّةِ أَصْحَابِ طَالُوتَ الَّذِينَ جَاوَزُوا مَعَهُ النَّهَرَ , وَلَمْ يُجَاوِزْ مَعَهُ إِلَّا مُؤْمِنٌ بِضْعَةَ عَشَرَ وَثَلَاثَ مِائَةٍ .
