Abdullah bin Amr bin Rabi`a who was one of the leaders of Bani Adi and his father participated in the battle of Badr in the company of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). Umar appointed Qudama bin Maz'un (رضي الله تعالى عنه) as ruler of Bahrain, Qudama (رضي الله تعالى عنه) was one of the warriors of the battle of Badr and was the maternal uncle of Abdullah bin Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) and Ummul Momineen Hafsa (رضي الله تعالى عنها).
حضرت ابن شہاب زہری سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا: مجھے عبداللہ بن عامر بن ربیعہ نے خبر دی، وہ قبیلہ بنو عدی کے اکابر میں سے ہیں اور ان کے والد گرامی نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ غزوہ بدر میں شریک تھے۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ حضرت عمر ؓ کے ساتھ غزوہ بدر میں شریک تھے۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ حضرت عمر ؓ نے حضرت قدامہ بن مظعون ؓ کو بحرین کا حاکم مقرر کیا۔ یہ بھی بدر کی جنگ میں شریک تھے۔ اور یہ حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر اور ام المومنین حضرت حفصہ رضي اللہ عنھم کے ماموں ہیں۔
Hazrat Ibn Shihab Zuhri se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha: Mujhe Abdullah bin Aamir bin Rabia ne khabar di, woh qabila Banu Adi ke akabir mein se hain aur in ke walid-e-girami Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke saath Ghazwa-e-Badr mein shareek thay. Unhon ne bataya ke Hazrat Umar (Radiyallahu Anhu) ne Hazrat Qudama bin Maz'oon (Radiyallahu Anhu) ko Bahrain ka hakim muqarrar kiya. Yeh bhi Badr ki jang mein shareek thay. Aur yeh Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar aur Ummul Momineen Hazrat Hafsa (Radiyallahu Anhuma) ke mamu hain.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ ، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَكْبَرِ بَنِي عَدِيٍّ وَكَانَ أَبُوهُ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ اسْتَعْمَلَ قُدَامَةَ بْنَ مَظْعُونٍ عَلَى الْبَحْرَيْنِ وَكَانَ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَهُوَ خَالُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ , وَحَفْصَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ .
