Sahih al-Bukhari 4112
Jabir bin Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Umar bin Al-Khattab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) came on the day of Al-Khandaq after the sun had set and he was abusing the infidels of Quraish saying, ‘O Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), I was unable to offer the (Asr) prayer till the sun was about to set.’ The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘by Allah, I have not offered this (Asr) prayer.’ So, we came down along with the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) to Buthan where he performed ablution for the prayer and then we performed the ablution for it. Then he offered the Asr prayer after the sun had set, and after it he offered the Maghrib prayer.
حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ خندق کے دن حضرت عمر ؓ سورج غروب ہونے کے بعد آئے اور کفار قریش کو برا بھلا کہنے لگے۔ انہوں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! میں تو نماز نہیں پڑھ سکا تا آنکہ سورج غروب ہو گیا۔ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’اللہ کی قسم! میں نے بھی نماز عصر نہیں پڑھی۔‘‘ اس کے بعد ہم نبی ﷺ کے ہمراہ وادی بطحان میں ٹھہرے اور آپ نے نماز کے لیے وضو کیا تو ہم نے بھی نماز کے لیے وضو کیا۔ پھر آپ نے سورج غروب ہونے کے بعد نماز عصر پڑھی۔ پھر اس کے بعد آپ نے نماز مغرب ادا کی۔
Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (Radiyallahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke khandaq ke din Hazrat Umar (Radiyallahu Anhu) suraj ghuroob honay ke baad aaye aur kuffar-e-Quraish ko bura bhala kehnay lagay. Unhon ne kaha: Allah ke Rasul! main to namaz nahi parh saka ta-aanke suraj ghuroob ho gaya. Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: ''Allah ki qasam! main ne bhi namaz-e-asar nahi parhi.'' Is ke baad hum Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke hamrah wadi-e-Buthan mein thehray aur Aap ne namaz ke liye wuzu kiya to hum ne bhi namaz ke liye wuzu kiya. Phir Aap ne suraj ghuroob honay ke baad namaz-e-asar parhi. Phir is ke baad Aap ne namaz-e-maghrib ada ki.
حَدَّثَنَا الْمَكِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ , عَنْ يَحْيَى , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ بَعْدَ مَا غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ جَعَلَ يَسُبُّ كُفَّارَ قُرَيْشٍ , وَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا كِدْتُ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ حَتَّى كَادَتِ الشَّمْسُ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ , قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : وَاللَّهِ مَا صَلَّيْتُهَا , فَنَزَلْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بُطْحَانَ , فَتَوَضَّأَ لِلصَّلَاةِ وَتَوَضَّأْنَا لَهَا , فَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ بَعْدَ مَا غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ , ثُمَّ صَلَّى بَعْدَهَا الْمَغْرِبَ .
