Sahih al-Bukhari 4435
Narrated `Aisha: Used to hear (from the Prophet) that no Prophet dies till he is given the option to select either the worldly life or the life of the Hereafter. I heard the Prophet in his fatal disease, with his voice becoming hoarse, saying, In the company of those on whom is the grace of Allah ..( to the end of the Verse ). (4.69) Thereupon I thought that the Prophet had been given the option.
حضرت عائشہ ؓ ہی سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: میں (رسول اللہ ﷺ سے) سنا کرتی تھی کہ کوئی نبی اس وقت تک فوت نہیں ہوتا جب تک اس کو اختیار نہیں دیا جاتا کہ دنیا اختیار کرے یا آخرت۔ میں نے نبی ﷺ سے آپ کی مرضِ وفات میں سنا، جبکہ آپ کا گلہ بیٹھ گیا تھا، آپ یہ پڑھتے تھے: ’’ان لوگوں کے ساتھ جن پر اللہ تعالٰی نے انعام کیا۔‘‘ میں سمجھ گئی کہ اب آپ کو اختیار دیا گیا ہے۔
Hazrat Aisha (Radi Allahu Anha) hi se riwayat hai, unhon ne farmaya: Main (Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se) suna karti thi ke koi nabi us waqt tak faut nahi hota jab tak us ko ikhtiyar nahi diya jata ke duniya ikhtiyar kare ya aakhirat. Main ne Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se Aap ki marz-e-wafat mein suna, jabke Aap ka gala baith gaya tha, Aap yeh parhte the: ''Un logon ke sath jin par Allah Ta'ala ne inaam kiya.'' Main samajh gayi ke ab Aap ko ikhtiyar diya gaya hai.
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كُنْتُ أَسْمَعُ أَنَّهُ لَا يَمُوتُ نَبِيٌّ حَتَّى يُخَيَّرَ بَيْنَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ، فَسَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ وَأَخَذَتْهُ بُحَّةٌ ، يَقُولُ : مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ سورة النساء آية 69 الْآيَةَ ، فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ خُيِّرَ .
