The Statement of Allah: "And perform As-Salat (Iqa ma as-SaIãt)" at the two ends of the day, and in some hours of the night; [i.e ., five compulsory Salãt (prayers)]. Verily, the good deeds remove the evil deeds (small sins)…" ('V.11 :114)

Sahih al-Bukhari 4687
Narrated Ibn Masud: A man kissed a woman and then came to Allah's Messenger and told him of that, so this Divine Inspiration was revealed to the Prophet 'And offer Prayers perfectly at the two ends of the day, and in some hours of the night; (i.e. (five) compulsory prayers). Verily, the good deeds remove the evil deeds (small sins) That is a reminder for the mindful.' (11.114) The man said, Is this instruction for me only?' The Prophet said, It is for all those of my followers who encounter a similar situation.
حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک آدمی نے کسی اجنبی عورت کا بوسہ لے لیا۔ اس کے بعد وہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور اپنا گناہ بیان کیا تو اس وقت یہ آیت نازل ہوئی: "آپ دن کے دونوں اطراف میں اور کچھ رات گئے نماز پڑھیں۔ بلاشبہ نیکیاں برائیوں کو دور کر دیتی ہیں۔ یہ ایک یاد دہانی ہے یاد کرنے والوں کے لیے۔" اس شخص نے آپ ﷺ سے دریافت کیا: آیا یہ امر خاص میرے لیے ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: "نہیں، بلکہ میری امت میں سے جو بھی اس پر عمل کرے یہ سب کے لیے ہے۔"
Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke ek aadmi ne kisi ajnabi aurat ka bosa le liya. Is ke baad woh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur apna gunah bayan kiya to is waqt yeh ayat nazil hui: \"Aap din ke dono atraaf mein aur kuch raat gaye namaz parhen. Bilashuba naikiyaan buraiyon ko door kar deti hain. Yeh ek yaad-dihani hai yaad karne walon ke liye.\" Is shakhs ne Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se daryaft kiya: Aaya yeh amr khaas mere liye hai? Aap ne farmaya: \"Nahi, balkay meri ummat mein se jo bhi is par amal kare yeh sab ke liye hai.\"
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ هُوَ ابْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَصَابَ مِنَ امْرَأَةٍ قُبْلَةً ، فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ ، فَأُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ : وَأَقِمِ الصَّلاةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ إِنَّ الْحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ ذَلِكَ ذِكْرَى لِلذَّاكِرِينَ سورة هود آية 114 قَالَ الرَّجُلُ : أَلِيَ هَذِهِ ؟ قَالَ : لِمَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنْ أُمَّتِي .
