The Statement of Allah the Most High: "Then, when they saw it as a dense cloud coming towards their valleys..." (V.46:24)

باب {فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ عَارِضًا مُسْتَقْبِلَ أَوْدِيَتِهِمْ قَالُوا هَذَا عَارِضٌ مُمْطِرُنَا بَلْ هُوَ مَا اسْتَعْجَلْتُمْ بِهِ رِيحٌ فِيهَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ}
Sahih al-Bukhari 4829
Ummul Momineen Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) complained to the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) saying, "O Messenger of Allah! When people see clouds, they become happy, anticipating rain. But I notice that when you see clouds, displeasure is evident on your face." The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "O Aisha! How can I be sure that there is no punishment in it? A nation (the people of Aad) faced the punishment of the wind. When they saw the punishment, they said, 'This is a cloud that will bring us rain.'"
ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ ؓ فرماتی ہیں کہ آپ ﷺ جب بادل یا ہوا دیکھتے تو آپ کے چہرہ انور پر پریشانی کے اثرات نظر آتے۔ انہوں نے عرض کی: اللہ کے رسول! لوگ جب بادل دیکھتے ہیں تو اس امید پر خوش ہوتے ہیں کہ اس میں بارش ہو گی لیکن اس کے برعکس میں دیکھتی ہوں کہ جب آپ کو بادل نظر آتے ہیں تو ناگواری کے اثرات آپ کے چہرے پر نمایاں ہوتے ہیں۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’اے عائشہ! اس امر کی کیا ضمانت ہے کہ ان میں عذاب نہ ہو۔ ایک قوم کو ہوا کا عذاب دیا گیا تھا۔ انہوں نے جب عذاب دیکھا تو کہنے لگے: یہ تو بادل ہے جو ہم پر برسے گا۔‘‘
Umm-ul-Momineen Hazrat Aisha (Radiyallahu Anha) farmati hain ke aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) jab baadal ya hawa dekhte to aap ke chehra-e-anwar par pareshani ke asraat nazar aate. Unhon ne arz ki: Allah ke Rasool! Log jab baadal dekhte hain to is umeed par khush hote hain ke is mein baarish ho gi lekin is ke bar-aks main dekhti hoon ke jab aap ko baadal nazar aate hain to na-gawari ke asraat aap ke chehre par numayan hote hain. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: ''Ae Aisha! Is amr ki kya dhamanat hai ke in mein azab na ho. Ek qaum ko hawa ka azab diya gaya tha. Unhon ne jab azab dekha to kehne lage: Yeh to baadal hai jo hum par barse ga.''
قَالَتْ : وَكَانَ إِذَا رَأَى غَيْمًا أَوْ رِيحًا عُرِفَ فِي وَجْهِهِ ، قَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ النَّاسَ إِذَا رَأَوْا الْغَيْمَ ، فَرِحُوا رَجَاءَ أَنْ يَكُونَ فِيهِ الْمَطَرُ وَأَرَاكَ إِذَا رَأَيْتَهُ عُرِفَ فِي وَجْهِكَ الْكَرَاهِيَةُ ، فَقَالَ : يَا عَائِشَةُ ، مَا يُؤْمِنِّي أَنْ يَكُونَ فِيهِ عَذَابٌ عُذِّبَ قَوْمٌ بِالرِّيحِ وَقَدْ رَأَى قَوْمٌ الْعَذَابَ ، فَقَالُوا : هَذَا عَارِضٌ مُمْطِرُنَا .
