"Have you then considered Al-Lat and AI-'Uzza? (1) " (V.53:19) (1) :(Ch. 2) Lat and 'Uzza were two idols worshipped by the pagan Arabs during the Pre-Islamic Period of Ignorance.

Sahih al-Bukhari 4860
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger said, Whomever takes an oath in which he mentions Lat and `Uzza (forgetfully), should say: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and whoever says to his companion. 'Come along, let us gamble must give alms (as an expiation).
حضرت ابوہریرہ ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’جو شخص قسم اٹھائے اور اپنی قسم میں لات و عُزٰی کا نام لے تو اسے لا إله إلا اللہ پڑھنا چاہئے اور جو شخص اپنے ساتھی سے کہے آؤ جوا کھیلیں تو اسے صدقہ کرنا چاہئے۔‘‘
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radiyallahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha ke Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: ''Jo shakhs qasam uthaye aur apni qasam mein Laat wa Uzza ka naam le to usay La ilaha illallah padhna chahiye aur jo shakhs apne saathi se kahe aao jua khelen to usay sadqa karna chahiye.''
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَنْ حَلَفَ فَقَالَ فِي حَلِفِهِ وَاللَّاتِ وَالْعُزَّى ، فَلْيَقُلْ : لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، وَمَنْ قَالَ لِصَاحِبِهِ تَعَالَ أُقَامِرْكَ فَلْيَتَصَدَّقْ .
